The Mafia's Slave: Claimed By My Stepbrother

The Mafia's Slave: Claimed By My Stepbrother

I asked all three of them. I could see Cain smiling down at me with pride. “Well, novels would be great. That’s a good starting point for any beginner,” the first man said. “I agree, and you could make picks from romance, mystery and thrillers, and even historical fiction,” the second man responded. “We have a list of the top bestselling authors. You will be glued to every book you select,” the third one said. I became relaxed almost immediately, but then again, Cain’s phone beeped.

Currently, I have two other exclusive books on GoodNovel you can dive into right now: 🐺 The Bane and The Alpha Beast – A fated-mate, enemies-to-lovers paranormal romance packed with secrets, slow-burn tension, and devastating desire. 🏍️ Claimed By The Biker King – A gritty, dangerous, and deliciously twisted MC romance where love rides right alongside revenge. Make sure to add them to your library and stay tuned—this ride is far from over.

Married a Secret Billionaire

Married a Secret Billionaire

Cordelia thought about it and said, "I also think Uncle Bond's a little mysterious, not quite like a writer who's always cooped up at home to write. I heard from Trinity that his works have only gotten viral all of a sudden these two years, but he's very skilled in writing with clear logic, and his stories are mind-boggling with unexpected plots. And…" "And I feel like those storylines have really happened," Zephyr said lightly. The novels he had by the bed had always been Jim's work. Jim was apt in writing using the first-person point-of-view. A few of his mystery novels were written from the perspective of a detective.

I've only read two books on this app. This is the second and by far the best one. The storylines are fluid, the characters are endowed with personality and most importantly the writer makes them come together seamlessly. Ideally, this is what the experience should be, uncomplicated and enjoyable.

I like the story. However, the cost is high for books on here and they are never ending. Not that the chapters are long, but it is almost the same outlying as the other books from this author. Sometimes it takes a moment to see what characters they have actively engaged in that chapter.

Shadows and First Blood

Shadows and First Blood

I curled into myself, hugging knees like armor, and slept in fragments—dreams of blood, smoke, and the sound of pigeons scattering. Morning broke ugly. Pale gray light cut through boarded windows, thick with dust. My arm ached where the knife had nicked me, shallow but raw. I cleaned it with vodka from a broken cabinet, wrapped it with strips from an old display sheet, and told myself it was fine. The notebook from Rylen and Kira lay heavy in my pocket, edges damp from the night’s rain. I pulled it out, flipped pages. Scribbled maps. Circles for hunter sightings. Sharp slashes of handwriting noting “pack movement” and “possible device.” I stared at it, tracing borough outlines with my finger.

The Calling

The Calling

The Calling Chapter 1 I am walking down the cliffy road, it’s dark out with only the street lamp to illuminate my path. I am slightly cold and very irritated at my current situation. I had gotten to my car only to discover the battery dead. Obviously the car would not start, could not even unlock the bloody door via car remote.

Restoring Prestoria #1

Restoring Prestoria #1

Hi, wonderful readers. This is Cinderevie and I want to congratulate you for finish reading chapter four of RP, that's a great achievement. If you're a reader that's interested to see what happens next you've got to know these about RP #1... - It's in first person. Most young readers are not used to this but I want you to know that in the remaining series, it'll be in first person. So what's my reason for doing this? It's a very detailed and conjoined explanation of different people's POVs that's all merged together. I think it's wonderful to be able to read many thoughts at once. It's faster and RP is a long tale. If I wrote in first person, it will be less exciting. This is the first serie

The First of My Kind

The First of My Kind

I softly smiled at them and closed the door. With Frederick assisting Uncle, I was left alone to wander around the house, and what better way to kill the time than to read books. So, my main target was finding the library. After a few dead-ends, I finally found what I was looking for. There's no surprise, the library was huge as well. I trailed my hands on the hard-bound books. Novels, grimoires, Shakespeare, Edgar Allan Poe, Emily Dickinson.

Frequently Asked Questions

I keep a spreadsheet just for this niche. Strong first-person voice isn't just about 'I' statements; it’s about the character’s worldview warping the prose itself. 'The Catcher in the Rye' gets cited, but Holden’s cynicism is almost a genre template now.

More recently, 'Eleanor Oliphant Is Completely Fine' nails a voice so distinct you can diagnose the character through her syntax. The deliberate, overly formal phrasing mirrors her social isolation. Same with 'Convenience Store Woman'—the protagonist’s internal logic about store routines becomes the novel’s entire rhythm. It’s less about plot and more about how a mind organizes reality.

For unreliable narrators, 'The Secret History' filters everything through Richard’s romanticized, guilty lens. You’re stuck inside his head, so the elitism and horror feel justified, even beautiful, until you step back. That dissonance is the point. My dark horse pick is 'Piranesi'—the narrator’s gentle cataloging of the House creates a voice that’s both innocent and profound, turning a weird setting into a character study.
