I didn't need all this crying, I needed to understand what was going on and why I couldn't leave right now. “Greetings My Alpha,” I heard from the door and even without seeing him yet, I knew who it was. “Jack, long time no see,” I said in response, at least one more level-headed person to sort out this situation. “Let the doctors check you first and we can catch up,” he joked, he was more than my right-hand man, he had become my best friend and the one who understood me the most. “Only if I can leave here fast enough,” I replied wanting to be discharged as soon as possible, I hated unfamiliar places.

And you’re my BEST FRIEND! If that doesn’t scream identity, I don’t know what does,” she said fiercely. I gave her a small smile. I knock on her door and go into her room, she's on her bed with a pen and paper on her lap. “Hey, what are you up to?” I asked her as I went to sit by her side. “I thought I would write a letter to Morana, thanking her for taking such good care of Luna and explaining to her why we can't be there and also to tell Luna that we love her.” Her voice catches on her last sentence and I can tell that none of this is easy for her.

She suddenly announced on national TV that my best friend was hers and I was so jealous and hurt, I didn’t realize that I was hurting you in the process. Now, it just made me want to gag. “Nobody knows you the way I do. Nobody else on this campus actually gives a damn about you the way I do. I’m the one who protected you. I’m the one who always made sure you were good. You think Brittany cares? She’s just using this to cause a scene because she hates me, not because she's trying to protect you.
