Man's Best Wingman

Man's Best Wingman

She asked. “Um, this…” I shrugged as I popped the top and took a sip. Ahh, that hits the spot. That tart and crisp, like an apple, and with a sweeter, berry-like aftertaste dancing on my tongue. Nothing like it in the world, and I haven’t found anything that tastes better either. I don’t share that shit with anyone. I hoard my Guaraná Antarctica. “Um… my last can of Guaraná Antarctica.” I hesitantly answered.

Is that really how the book ends? It's a really good book but to end it that way... Especially with the trauma the two main characters seperately endured... Feels wrong to deprive the reader from getting to have that HEA with the characters.

Another wonderful book!! I have laughed so hard it hurts and this is not just a nod to romance, But Life getting in the way and our animals fully taking over and inserting themselves when we aren't brave enough to do it ourselves. Absolutely brilliant!!!

The Light's Shadow

The Light's Shadow

Present- June 10th, 2033 The annual Hemmingway Book convention is a wonderful place to meet your favorite authors. It is also a great place to meet your fans, and get to know them. They can even ask you questions. I have been honored with sitting at the author’s table this year. I will be beside some of the best authors of our day.

Only the Second Best

Only the Second Best

“We’ll hit the beach. I know a place with amazing ceviche and an ocean view that can fix just about anything.” Ten minutes later, we were on our way up the Pacific Coast Highway, with Geraldo rambling in the most Geraldo way possible. He started with a story about his screenwriter friend forgetting to name the main character in a film draft, then veered off into a ridiculous debate about whether the first humans should’ve been vegetarians or carnivores. “And you know,” he said, glancing at me, “if we ever meet aliens first, they’re gonna be so grossed out by how humans eat burgers.”

Dirty Family Secrets

Dirty Family Secrets

I still wasn't used to their habit of brushing all the crumbs and napkins onto the floor, but when in Rome. We had dinner at the famous El Botín, the world's oldest restaurant. It was right around the corner, and I was told a little of the history on the way. We ate on the second floor, immortalized by Hemingway in The Sun Also Rises. Our waiter, after seating us, pointed out, "That very chair you sit in was one of Hemingway's favorites." Ana Isabel, seated between me and the wall, laughed. "Please. I hear that every time we come here, everywhere we sit."

Carry My Child, Miss Laurier

Carry My Child, Miss Laurier

“Okay, who is that person?” “Hemmingway. He is noted both for the intense masculinity of his writing and for his adventurous and widely publicized life. His succinct and lucid prose style exerted a powerful influence on American and British fiction in the 20th century. One of his famous book is The Old Man and the Sea—a novella written himself.” While I am continuously answering his question, I found his gaze and saw him staring intently at me as he waited for my next words. I bit my tongue, already distracted on the way he look at me so I look on my right only to see Rael, Nathan and Levi looking so proud at me. I lick my lower lip one more time as I continue what I was about to say earlier

The Best Decision

The Best Decision

“Mia, not every woman needs to live off a man like you do. Move.” I had no interest in wasting energy arguing. I gestured for them to step aside, planning to wait for Daniel elsewhere. “Wait!” Mia’s voice suddenly rose. Her gaze locked on my wrist, eyes widening. “E-Evelyn, what’s that on your hand?” People nearby began glancing over, curious. Before I could answer, Mia’s voice rang out, full of shock. “Is that… a Patek Philippe Aquanaut Luce? The minute repeater edition? Limited to five pieces worldwide? Three million dollars?”
