Carry My Child, Miss Laurier

Carry My Child, Miss Laurier

“Okay, who is that person?” “Hemmingway. He is noted both for the intense masculinity of his writing and for his adventurous and widely publicized life. His succinct and lucid prose style exerted a powerful influence on American and British fiction in the 20th century. One of his famous book is The Old Man and the Sea—a novella written himself.” While I am continuously answering his question, I found his gaze and saw him staring intently at me as he waited for my next words. I bit my tongue, already distracted on the way he look at me so I look on my right only to see Rael, Nathan and Levi looking so proud at me. This is just the cutest story! It’s not your typical romance novel but that’s the magic of it! It’s cute, sincere, and honest. I could see this actually being someone’s real story of how they met their person and love it. Plus the dogs point of view are simply the best! This is a must read!

Fire and Water

Because to do so, would be to possibly acknowledge an act—acts, plural—that were unspeakable, atrocious, and a deception of the highest magnitude. He pushed those thoughts from his mind and tried to give more focus to the older man currently pacing the front of the room excitedly. “Ernest Hemingway wrote many cherished novels, but I’d like you all to focus on his work titled The old man and the sea. Over the next week,” explained the jovial Dr. Pike, his crinkly blue eyes alight, “I want you to read it. But not just see the words, feel the words. Allow them to soak into your bones. Only then will you be able to gain an understanding of the undertones of a simple tale of fishing, and an older
