I need the TV's sound to distract me. Great, Love Actually is on. It’s Isabella’s favorite movie. Maybe TV wasn’t a good decision after all. I’ll check social media instead. Just as I picked up my phone, it chimed with a message. Nonna: Zander. It’s Nonna. Don’t give up on Bella. She cried all day. I had to cancel my appointment with the Nonno of the DeMarco family. I don’t want to leave her alone right now. Zander: I’m miserable without her, Nonna. It’s only been half a day, and I’m already missing her so badly.
