OF HEIRS AND RUIN
I made my way to the campus delivery station which wasn’t too far from the dorm.
I unwrapped my package right there at the station. The bike was a sturdy mountain bike, its frame painted matte black with streaks of hot pink that ran along the body and cables. Its thick, knobby tires gripped the ground, built for rough paths as much as smooth roads. The handlebars were straight and slightly raised, and mounted at the front was a small wire basket, simple but practical, perfect for carrying books, groceries, or whatever could fit. The basket contrasted with the sporty design, giving the rugged bike a touch of everyday usefulness. I loved it!
