Bid You Adieu Novels & Stories

A content, serene smile rested on my countenance. “Goodbye, for now, Pa, Adrian. We’ll visit you again soon.” ~THE END~

But here I was, celebrating his downfall which would come by morning. “Here you go, for the woman who has made this possible. Without you, without your ideas, we wouldn't be here.” Adrian had twisted himself out of his chair and was next to me in minutes, slithering his way into my thoughts, snatching the solitude I wanted and replacing it with his voice. “Thank you.” I muttered quietly, accepting the champagne he offered.

"I always trust you, Leah. Now, let's make some money together!" I smiled with relief and said, "You can take a look at it and assess its quality. Also, we need to collect some information about our rivals. This bidding process will last only for three weeks, so we're running out of time. But anyway, Gean is very good at what he does. I'm sure you'll be in good hands." "No problem! I'll take it from here," Laura patted her chest. At that time, I heard Gean's voice outside.

"not the word Adulf, it's safer if we don't discuss night businesses daytime. I just got the impression you were trying to call some important names." Adulf Cain looked down at the map " he must be- judy- judy -judy" and then smacking his own head"oh, that's where aunt Adelaine lives." "well good luck with that,"sighed Bucharest"they want you to go see her." "why?" "reasons are no stated, kid." ******

Was it something else? I don’t know. All I know is that I said the words that would forever haunt me: “I, Alpha Aiden of the Moon Shadow Pack, reject you, Addie, as my mate and luna.”

“3.54 million.” “3.55 million.” And this went on for nearly half a minute. “3.99 million,” Vivian said, slightly huffing and out of breath from shouting. “4 million,” Adrian said, calm and composed. He didn’t seem tired or out of breath. In fact, he was smiling, which frustrated Vivian even more. Nobody there was competing anymore except for Vivian because it was Adrian who was bidding. Everybody there knew who Adrian was, including the manager and the owner.

As the helicopter broke through the clouds and sunlight spilled through the window, illuminating Lena’s face, Lena closed her eyes and whispered a quiet farewell in her heart. “Goodbye, Henry.” They no longer owed each other anything now, and this was goodbye forever.

Adrian let out a short, humorless laugh before stepping back. “Five days, you say? I won’t fail in making it count.” Miranda forced a smile “Get ready,” he said suddenly. Miranda frowned slightly. “For what?” “There’s a bidding event tomorrow night,” he said. “High-end auction. Rare items. Things worth having.” She stared at him. Unimpressed. “And what does that have to do with me?” “You’re coming with me.” Her expression hardened. “No.” The answer came instantly. “Take Vivian,” she added coldly.

I ask. "Sell?" He repeats. "No, that isn't the word for it. More like, auction you off, to the highest bidder." He say grinning brightly. " He is selling me off. My fucking brother. My actual brother is selling me off. To the highest bidder? Like that is supposed to make it better or what? "Ben...." "We are leaving. Now." Adrian yells from wherever the fuck he is. My mind goes blank. What kind of sick joke is this? I try to make sense of this whole situation but it just isn't adding up.

I don’t feel guilty that I am here with you and most importantly , I don’t feel guilty for all the things that I have done and the ones that I am about to do so judge me if you might . Judge me if you think that I might be crazy or judge me if you think that I am selfish for wanting you . But you Sebastian , it’s me and you against the world . What I heard next was a clap which was followed by a big smile on his face . I had never seen him smile that much since I knew him and he just did . Oh come on Addie , you gave a nice speech and it deserved a good standing ovation or what do you think that I should give to it .
