“The oldest one.” The Sea began glowing from below. Not silver. Not gold. A third color. A soft blue. None of them had seen it before. It rose slowly through the waters. Gentle. Peaceful. Ancient. Aurel stared. “I remember that light.” Astra looked equally stunned. “So do I.” The Keeper stepped backward. Impossible recognition filled its face. “No…” The Witness whispered: “Yes.” The blue light reached the surface. The waters parted. A staircase emerged.

The air was full of salt and night blooming jasmine, orange blossom and hibiscus. We sat down, dipping our feet into the water. The moon shone silver above, its reflection stretching across the waves like a road into forever. Then it happened. A glow shimmered where the tide touched our toes—soft, pale blue, like fire hiding under the water. “Pelin!” Manolya gasped, her voice catching with excitement. “Look!” I laughed in awe. “yes I love the bioluminescence, the sea sparkle and the Yakamoz, the moon shines so beautiful on the sea, it looks so infinite.”
