It should be illegal to look this nerve wrecking. The first three buttons of his shirt were undone, revealing a patch of clear slightly tanned skin. The sleeves of his shirt were rolled up to his elbows, showing off the prominent veins that ran up his back hand. I felt the breath hitch in my wind pipes as our eyes met, his mesmerizing green stare made my cheeks flush and my knees go weak, it was like I was paralyzed as I stood there while his eyes still roamed me. "I don't think I've introduced myself. Damon Blackwood" his husky voice made my heart rate pick up. A smirk crawled unto his features as he stretched out a hand for me and I just stared in awe, his words sinking in.

Let's do this. I walk out of the room and downstairs with my heels clicking and echoing in the quiet. I get to the end of the stairs and find no one, not at the dining table nor kitchen or living room. There doesn't seem to be a single soul here, and I start to get a little weary. Damian Blackwood sat behind his massive black desk. Sharp suit. Cuffed sleeves. Jaw tight enough to crack a diamond. He didn’t look up at me. Not even a glance. I opened my mouth to speak but was cut off by his deep voice.

“This is war.” “What is all this?” Calla asked, glancing around at the chaos. “I thought Killian already gave me..." Pierre smirked. “Oh, the red? That was merely Act I.” Before Calla could ask what that meant, Pierre snapped his fingers. One of the assistants brought forward a large black box, wrapped in a silk gold ribbon. “This just arrived. Mr. Black’s personal instruction. You are to open it before we begin,” Pierre said dramatically, as if he were delivering a royal decree.

However, Hesper was the only one who firmly believed that Silvan was the true culprit. The two approached the door, but there was no lock on it. Without hesitating, Hesper pushed the door open, unveiling the sight of the butler chained to the ground, appearing utterly depleted. His eyes flickered momentarily upon encountering the light, as if they had not been exposed to its brightness in an extended period. "Mr. Alfred?" Hesper called out his name, and the butler seemed to awaken from the sudden influx of light. He struggled to sit up, opening his bloodshot eyes and gazing at Hesper.
