Gives them room to grow alongside the canon cast instead of overshadowing them.

Unfortunately, you have to sift through a mountain of 'Asta snaps and turns dark' power fantasies to find those nuanced takes. I wish more authors leaned into the unspoken respect and the subtle ways they mirror each other's determination, even when their methods clash.
