The Luna's Groom
Through Perseus’ words, my mind paints the scene: Thomas Black on a stallion, riding hard through the shadowed paths of an ancient forest.
He arrives at a rusted cabin, its wood warped with age. Pulling back his hood, he reveals the sharp, striking features Perseus inherited—the same jawline, the same piercing eyes.
Thomas ties his horse to a wooden post, hesitating before the door. But before he can knock, an old woman’s voice rasps from inside:
“Come in.”
Thomas swallows hard, pushing the door open. Inside, an elderly woman sits at a table, stroking a grey cat curled in her lap. The creature purrs, undisturbed by his presence.
