--- The battle was nothing like the one Ariana had fought before. The Voidborn moved without making a sound. They passed through walls. They appeared behind warriors. They disappeared before weapons could reach them. Golden soldiers fought desperately. The First Blade was the only weapon that could injure them. Ariana moved through the battlefield, striking whenever one appeared. Kael fought beside her. "Left!" Ariana turned. She struck the creature. It vanished. "Behind you!" Kael attacked. Another Voidborn disappeared. They moved together perfectly. No words were needed but there were too many.

“They’re coming. I can hear the hum of their phased-shift units.” The breach happened with a sound like tearing silk. Four "Sovereign" commandos materialized in the center of the gallery, their armor glowing with a faint, pulsing violet light. They were equipped with "Aether-Blades"—weapons that could cut through reinforced steel as if it were paper. They looked at Marcus and Elena with a clinical, arrogant detachment, as if they were merely clearing away rubble. “Step aside, Smith,” the lead commando said, his voice synthesized and cold. “The 'Total Harvest' is a legal and genetic inevitability. You are merely an obstruction in the flow of the Sovereign grid.”

“It has to be silver!” “Noted,” Zero bit out, firing again. This time, the creature flinched, a sizzling sound erupting from the wound. “Seems they don’t like it up close either!” He was already moving, a blur of motion as he drew a blade from his vest—a blade I now saw was etched with faint, glowing runes. The world erupted into chaos.

"Be something that survives the blade." The magnetic seal locks. I sit in the dim light of the Faraday cage with my hand resting where his palm was, and the child's heartbeat still tuned to his frequency. The drugs are already losing ground—I can feel the silver threads pushing back against the amber weight in my veins. I reach into the bedpost and close my fingers around the Phantom Blade. The titanium needle begins to hum faintly, the silver light from my skin leaping onto the metal as though it recognizes it. He wants a weapon.

"He was never willing to accept do that, he was trapped and had no way out. He tried to leave, first by hiding and then being a sort of spy for the Feds. But Venom doesn't allow for exits, nor does he forgive snitches." My knees quaked under me as I felt myself swaying. I gripped the edges of the table to keep myself from tumbling down. My head pressed down as I tried to breathe in air while it felt like my chest was about to explode. My heart feels like it was crushed while running a marathon. Blade makes no move as he stands quietly, he doesn't say anything as he seemed to give me space to gather myself or fall apart. I am partly grateful for that because this was all a lot to take in. She carefully turned her neck to the direction of the front doors where just by the side stood a man whose silhouette bore a striking resemblance to Jaxon, one she could pick out even in the darkness of the night. He was just—older. His father, she realized. The look he gave her was dark, piercing and deliberate, freezing her in place. “Oh dear,” Naomi started again. “Are you cold? You are freezing. I will get you a jacket. Do you want one?” Upon seeing Kallista's lack of response, Naomi Hawthorne followed the direction of her gaze. “Oh for the love of God,” she muttered and then yelled out, “Cillian drop the daggers! And come on, let's go home.”

The First Ones’ echo whispers—You are the bridge—and the blade’s runes blaze, its song a hymn of creation. The vision fades, and I scream, lunar light flaring, weak but fierce, the blade slashing Klythe’s arm, silver blood welling—hers, a mirror of Elara’s. Her aura flickers, the relic’s pulse stuttering, and Cassia’s voice cuts through, fierce. “Lena, you’re enough!” Her aura weaves into mine, crimson threads igniting my light, her will a fire that burns away my doubt.

BLINDED BY REVENGE CHAPTER ONE Bellona had the same terrifying dream again. She saw her parents being pursued and then killed right in front of her. Their blood flowed on the ground as their blank eyes stared up at her. Their killer who wore a mask pointed at her. "You are next!" he said menacingly. Bellona woke up. Her heart was pounding very fast and she still felt the fear that she had felt in her dream. She got up from bed and went to drink water.

Blade looks between us and he looks to Hunter and asks, “You know where I live, Alpha?” He nods his head, “I have a general idea.” “If she ever wants to see Raya then bring her there. Right now, we’re on a time restriction and this is too distracting. Deal?” Hunter looks to Blair who is practically trembling as if she’s a leaf about to fall off the tree in the fall. He looks back at Blade and nods, “Deal. Thank you.” Hunter puts his arm around Blair and leads her back towards the woods. She seems like she’s in too much shock to argue with him. Blade turns back to Arthur and asks, “Can we go inside?”

The Void pulsed with a dark rhythm, as if it had a heartbeat of its own. Shattered fragments of impossible worlds spun and collided, twisting gravity and time into chaotic spirals. Every step Seraphine took felt heavier, as though the universe itself was trying to push her back into nothingness. The Blade of Origin glowed like molten silver in her hands. Its light reflected the bond she shared with the immortal beside her a living tether that held them steady against the impossible forces pressing from all sides.
