Blesiv Grinding Edits Novels & Stories

The grain was off, the color depth didn't match, and not a single piece held the same weight as the original bracelet Niona had given her. Her eyes were bloodshot, rimmed with red from working straight through the night without sleep. Biting down hard on her lower lip to stay focused, she pressed another jade slab against the high-speed grinding wheel. The intense friction generated a sting that shot through the fresh blisters on her palms, but she barely flinched. She didn't care about the burns or the exhaustion. If she couldn't recreate that piece perfectly, she wouldn't even be able to look Niona in the eye.

She began to grind the stones together. The sound was loud. Crunch. Crunch. Crunch. Scout leaned into my side, her breath hot through my shirt. "She is enjoying this," Scout whispered. "Look at her hands." Iris's fingers were covered in the green juice of the herbs. She was moving faster now, her shoulders rolling with the movement. The paste inside the bowl changed from grey to a thick, dark amber. It looked like old oil. Then she stopped grinding. She leaned her face low over the bowl, her lips almost touching the sludge.

Wilbur then hurled the blood clot into the Dragon's Altar. A surge of aura arose, and the blood clot turned into grace points at once. Wilbur smiled at the sight of the three hundred new grace points in the golden hourglass. He traded this for a Marrow Cleansing Pill and a Strongwill Pill. There were not many grace points left after that. Wilbur sighed. There were so many treasures, but grace points were so hard to come by. Every time he had any to add he felt like what he got in return was always so little.

But the Earth, it seemed, had been "Holding its Breath." As the Blue-Standard began to manifest in the Detroit "Threshold," the process was not a gentle blooming. It was a violent, subterranean "De-Grafting." The hybrid roots, once docile, began to secrete a highly specific enzyme—a "Chitinase"—designed to dissolve the Sombra’s obsidian-hard structural walls.

He watched Alex watch him with keen interest as he moved closer towards him. He slowly unclasped his right hand from Alex's and placed it on his lap. Watching Alex almost flinch as he placed his hand on his lap, he curled his fingers and rubbed them in a circular motion around his thigh. "Blue," Seb whispered then leaned even closer towards Alex. The space between them was only getting shorter as they both began to lean forward, replacing the distance between them with their breaths. They both exhaled and breathed slowly, their breaths hitting their skin and like it was magic, prompting both of them to close their eyes simultaneously.

A small cloud of dirt and dust floats away when he does. “Preparing the ingredients won’t take long. But they need to sit and mix for twelve hours,” I tell him as I survey the contents of the bag. “This is a lot more than the previous hauls. Why did you get so much?” I ask as I lay out all the contents. “There’s been a change of plans,” Grizz says, taking out a golden knife from a brown, leather sheath in his boot, and cleaning under his fingernails with it. My throat constricts as I watch the knife in his hands with laser-like focus. Does he know?

To the stone, I was a graft, a foreign element trying to mimic the Alpha’s frequency. The violet energy in my chest began to churn. It felt like liquid glass being forced through my veins. I pushed harder, forcing my pulse down to thirty. The lake below began to freeze. Not into beautiful, crystalline structures, but into jagged, black shards that hissed as they touched the air. The "Feedback" started to hum in my ears—a high-pitched shriek that threatened to burst my eardrums. “Elara, the ribs!” Sasha warned. “The pressure is building!”

he growled. Outside the window or what used to be the window the grey static began to peel away. It didn't disappear; it shredded. Where the grey had been, long, jagged tears appeared, revealing a sky that was nothing but swirling, caustic violet clouds and lightning that moved in slow motion.

The corrupted relic began to screech, a high pitched, horrible noise that sounded like metal grinding against glass. The dark purple veins on the rock tried to fight back, but my white light was too pure, too strong, and entirely unstoppable. With a deafening boom, the white light slammed right into the center of the relic. The black stone shattered completely. It did not just break into pieces. It exploded into a million tiny grains of harmless black dust, dissolving into the freezing air like soot. The greasy, heavy pressure that had been choking the stadium vanished in a single heartbeat. The air became clean, crisp, and fresh again.

was corrupted. “Look for yourself,” she said, her voice shaking with a mixture of awe and clinical terror. I rolled my head to the side, fighting the wave of vertigo that threatened to black me out. The three thousand sapphire pods were no longer silent. The "Logic-Sync" had been shattered, replaced by a chaotic, beautiful Biological Static. The infants were moving—tiny, uncoordinated limbs striking the glass. Their eyes weren't white and they weren't binary; they were a deep, steady iridescent violet, the exact shade of the "Twilight-Serum" I had pumped through my own marrow.
