"Why would anything else be after me?" Professor Pops came around and stuck out his hand. "Come with me. I need to show you something." I set down the glass and rose, hesitantly placing my hand in his. "What?" I asked, my nervousness easy to hear. "You'll see. Consider this your Seven Magics Academy induction ceremony." I snorted. "Can't wait." He led me down the stairs to another door, which he unlocked. Apprehension fluttered along my belly. "So, I'm going to take classes on staking vampires?"

I didn't have the first clue and a small whine escaped from me as I tried to figure it out. Derek understood my dilemma, "Just relax, take a deep breath, and concentrate hard on being human. The magic should do it automatically." I took a deep breath and tried to picture myself as I looked in the mirror. I put all my will into that thought and concentrated on becoming human. It took me a long moment, but I felt the world begin to melt and shimmer around me. I ended up crouched on the table completely naked.

I forced myself to focus, letting the images of the academy come forward. I felt my magic swell in the pit of my stomach as it begged to be used. I called it forward, letting it escape through my fingertips as I moulded the world around us. Buildings disappeared and reappeared, the forests and mountains changing. The magic poured out of me until sweat beaded across my brow. With a final flick of my finger, I opened my eyes, taking in the new world around me. Two large cast iron gates stood before me. The Bloodstone crest connecting in the middle. A giant school sat behind it, big enough to fit over a thousand students.

Every story has a beginning, some good, some bad, mine has never been a happy one, no matter who, or how I tell it, nobody will believe me. I can't rely on the people in my life, My parents ignore me, or are cruel to me, my friends are unreliable, and aren't trustworthy either. So what happens when I turn 16 years old, and run away from my problems to another world, only to find myself in the same magical world I played make belief in as a kid? With heartbreak at every turn, and a possible new relationship on the horizon, what could possibly go wrong in this world that hasn't happened to me on Earth?!

Her days on this earth are numbered. I angrily collected the book from Zina, flipping it. There were a lot of spells here, and I wondered how we were going to master them because we just have one brain. I was still flipping when my eyes caught the shadow spell, dark magic written clearly on the side. I rolled my eyes because I wasn't understanding anything, closing the book. I looked up to Master Colt, listening to his order about the mind link spell. Everything was boring to me. I really wanted to settle down and think about my payback plan.

Just then, his advisor appeared, his eyes glinting with malicious intent. He raised his hands, dark energy crackling at his fingertips, intending to use black magic to subdue me again. But I was ready. Fisher’s preparations had rendered the magic useless against me.The advisor’s eyes widened in shock as his spells fizzled out, harmless. With a snarl, I leaped forward, my claws slashing through the advisor’s defenses. My powerful jaws clamped down on the advisor’s neck, crushing it with a sickening snap. His lifeless body fell to the ground, his dark magic silenced forever.

She motioned to the lifeless body. Brinsle didn’t respond at first. She turned back to the body. She stroked his cheek. “It was an accident,” she said, shaking her head. “I can’t undo this. You know that. Your magic is too strong. I’m sorry. But he’s gone.” “HE’S NOT!” Brinsle hollered, standing up. I noticed that some of the other witches were backing away now. Calista had gotten hold of a large stick. She pushed it through the cage into the fire and lit it. Then she brought it back and lit the bars of the cage on fire.

He didn’t tell me, and I could assume why: I would ground Emily in the castle for life. The reason for her expulsion? Ellemea was her tutor and also the head mistress of the Witches Academy. Her biggest policy in this life: never indulge in black magic. It irritated her more than Nick irritated me and she immediately expelled any one of her students who was caught indulging in that dark abyss. I don’t know who introduced black magic to Emily, because it certainly wasn’t Ambrose, I and Ellemea, but she learned it. Emily Bradford learned it and she was apparently good at it too.

And having seen those entitled elves, they couldn’t let their guards down since they might attack anytime. “I understand. But in case you change your mind, just inform me. Anyway, get your schedule at Magic Affairs Office. You’ll start your classes tomorrow.” “Thank you, headmaster.” Malaika arched her head down. When the Headmaster exited the room, Malaika quickly grabbed her grimoire beside her. She scanned the pages to check on the generated spells. But to her dismay, it was all blank. “Why is it like this?” Malaika closed the book.

her lip quivering as she spoke. "What weapon?" I sounded dumb. "The Knife of Erthyrya. One stab and it takes poofs any individual out of existence." She said without a hint of mockery in her voice. "Sorry, the knife of what now?" I really sound dumb. "Er-thy-ry-a." she ennuciates every sylabol like I was a baby. "It was forged our of a heart of a dragon that consumes all magical essence any person has. And uses that collective power to just zap you out of this world." Luna lets out a heavy sigh.
