Don't Love Me

Don't Love Me

The staff don't deserve to be treated poorly, so I plann to stay until she leaves. I pull up the book I've been reading called Thinking in Systems and pick up where I left off. At the receptionist's desk at work, there is a shelf of books available to borrow and I've been working through them one at a time. I don't know who gets to pick what goes there but each book has been impactful.

Hiding His Heir: The Rejected Luna’s Return

Hiding His Heir: The Rejected Luna’s Return

The "Hard Reset" was a wall of white light that moved with the speed of an editor’s eraser. In the Author’s Study, the infinite bookshelves began to "Bleach," the titles of a thousand "Norths" vanishing into the grey static. The Author himself was unravelling, his "Ink Black" eyes turning into two hollow voids of "Cancelled Narrative."

Spoiled by Mr. Russell

Spoiled by Mr. Russell

She had read the book repeatedly and thought over things carefully. Back then, Heather was anxious and wanted to master kickboxing in the shortest time possible. Now that she was not in excellent health, she had the time to study the book slowly, which made her feel that something was not right the more she studied. All the kickboxing books she read in the past were very detailed about the moves and how one should practice them, which was the opposite of this book which described every move vaguely. However, this book provided great insights into a kickboxer’s mindset and true understanding of the moves. It explained these things in detail. There were even some phrases from the Bible as well

How many chapters will this book have I have already spent $40.00 and that could have bought a whole novel. The book is good but it doesn’t need to carry on forever!!! What is the last chapter? I wouldn’t have started reading it had I known it wasn’t complete. This disappoints me greatly!!!

I would like to give my opinion on when his eyes open…… the book is great to read, but I feel like I pay to read that’s okay, but now it’s like the chapters is getting shorter, I don’t want to start on another story when I did not finish the first one. Please let me finish reading this book.

Love Slave to My Devil CEO Boss

Love Slave to My Devil CEO Boss

I asked before trailing off. “This one. I think it really helps with structuring your thought process and channeling it into the right output. You know, when you’re young and full of ideas it might be a little hard to choose which ones to focus on and how to piece it all together. This one is perfect for teaching you how to do that,” Ace said as his hands reached for a decently thick book and pulled it off the shelf. He turned to me and offered me the book with a warm smile. I looked up into his eyes and I was immediately touched by his kindness.

he said, without looking up. I stood there for a few more seconds, then closed the door, went back to my desk, and opened my laptop. We didn’t speak. He read while I worked. The only sounds were the turn of pages, my typing, and the quiet night outside. Fifty-three minutes later he set the book down. He looked at it for a moment before he stood. “There’s a chapter near the end,” he said, not looking at me. “About the way financial structures absorb individual decisions until no single person appears responsible for anything.” He paused. “I’ve been thinking about it for weeks.”

The Woman Who Stayed

The Woman Who Stayed

--- The conversations the book was generating were different from the conversations the posts had generated. The posts had produced recognition — the immediate, often emotional response of someone who encounters something that names their own experience precisely. The book produced something slower and deeper than recognition. It produced thinking. She could see this in the way people wrote about it — the messages that arrived not immediately after reading but days later, sometimes weeks later, from people who had finished it and then continued to be inside it and had arrived, eventually, at something they wanted to say.

The golden compromise

The golden compromise

Things that were true and real and sitting just beneath the surface of the professional distance I maintained between us. I didn't say them. Not yet. "You read the negotiation book," I said instead. He looked at me. "First thing I pulled off your shelf," he said. "Why that one," I said. He considered it for a moment. "Because the title told me it was about power," he said. "And I needed to understand the kind of power that operates in a room like yours." He paused. "Not force. Not volume. The other kind." I held his gaze.

I Am Nothing Like You

I Am Nothing Like You

"For those who have the power to read minds, during the olden times, your grandfather and father taught this method to your mother. What Alicia is feeling, it's normal. You don't have to worry about it. It's called the power block. When you try focusing on something, another force pushes it aside and instead drops your mind to a shadowed zone. Where there is nothing. No thoughts, no memories. Only an alarm. And when that alarm starts to ring, you will feel pain. And believe me, if not treated now, it might keep getting severe." "So what are the papers for?" "Plain papers will help picture your thoughts well." "I still don't get it.." "Alicia, touching on to this white paper will help you see

At first I was a bit confused by the different characters appearing all at once. I will like to suggest if the author could create a scene break to signify a change in the scene, maybe a( ***) in the middle will be just find. Above all, I enjoy reading the book. Keep up the good work!

NO ONE ASKED

NO ONE ASKED

I say without meaning. It is late. The rest of my home is silent. All the sound and activity concentrated in one room. Above my head, the light fitting has captured dead moths in the bowl of there is frosted glass. Inside there is a light bulb, a fragile glass shell, and a glowing filament. People often use light bulbs to represent ideas. Not me. My thoughts begin as pencil marks on a white page, soft abstract outlines. Slowly the lines grow clearer and acquire light and shade, depth, and clarity. "I have never met the killer," I say, turning my chair towards Blanche, "but suddenly I feel as though the assassin has sprung from within my mind, flesh and blood, with a voice that echoes in my e

Halloween Night Adventure

Halloween Night Adventure

I thought of burning the book for it I should burn it, I wouldn't be troubling myself any longer and the black Cults won't be able to come to me anymore. I also thought that there would be penalty in doing that, for the book does not belong to me, it from my school library. Instead of burning it, I would rather return the book. But returning the book will not be good for me as I will continue to think about reading the book in as much I know the book still lives. I think and connected to the book. The connection makes me not to be able to do without reading it. Wait a minute, am I connected to the book or the what is inside the book. What is wrong with me? I shouted out speaking to myself.
