There is no need to write a public blog, a sort of personal journal is perfectly valid. You will live more focused. If you constantly write about your thoughts you will never get out of sight what you want to achieve, which your dreams are. You will overcome tough moments faster. There is some research that suggests that those that write about what is happening overcome tough moments quicker than those who don’t. You will have a lot of written memories. If you write each day, you will have a historical record of your thoughts, probably something much more interesting than a simple photo album. And, who knows, maybe you end up publishing a book ;)

A year passed. August Hale didn’t disappear. He didn’t change his name or vanish into another identity. He stayed exactly where he was on campus, in the same city, with the same friends who had walked through the fire with him. But everything was different. His once quiet blog had become a full-blown platform Real & Written where people submitted their stories of identity, self worth, and survival. The project was now backed by a major publishing house, and August spent his days editing, responding, and helping others say the things they’d once been too afraid to voice.

I wonder why! He gave a deep laugh that was dry and unamusing. “The bloggers will always write whatever will sell them, my dear Becca. It doesn’t mean everything is the truth. Many times I have seen them turn a simple date with clients into a story of love and relationship for me. It got to a stage where I always took extra care before I entertained any female client to a dinner meeting. That’s how ridiculous it was.” He clarified and I knew he was not lying. Not directly at least.

The blog post went up at eleven forty-seven on a Tuesday morning. I know because Tasha sent me a screenshot at eleven forty-nine with no message attached, just the image, which was her way of telling me something needed to be seen without having to say that she had been watching for it. The blog was called Atlanta After Dark. The writer was a woman named Celestine Park who had been covering Atlanta society for nine years and had a gift for the suggestive sentence, the kind that implied more than it stated and left the reader to construct the accusation themselves.
