The Art Of Dying

The Art Of Dying

"That was a warning, not a suggestion." "Also noted!" An hour later, we'd transformed one of the castle's sitting rooms into something that almost felt normal. Someone had found candles—dozens of them—and placed them throughout the room. Brady had returned with not one but three bottles of vampire wine, each one labeled with warnings in languages I couldn't read. "This seems like a terrible idea," Marcus said, eyeing the dark red liquid Brady was pouring. "The best ideas usually are," Brady replied, handing him a glass.

Curse Of Wine & Belladonna

Curse Of Wine & Belladonna

It was to expect Geon to do that, after all he was a demon, good thing never was. It wasn't long before two glasses of red wine got to their table, it worried Artemisia a little. The young woman knew how Lady Montenegro's dinners worked; first came the white drinks to give a cleaner welcome message, then came the glasses of rosé wine, during the dinner entrees, then red wine to accompany the main course and finally gin and burgundy wine. She never understood why that order of drinks, but at least Artemisia was always prestigious for the wines of that whole event. Lutetia was obviously where the family's wines were most purchased, compared to the rest of northern Gaul.

His Bloodstained Bride

His Bloodstained Bride

My instincts kicked in hard. My eyes scanned the table, the wine, the room, the way Valerius shifted. Then I saw blood. “Alessio,” I cut in sharply. He turned to me, brows furrowed. “What?” I pointed. “You’re bleeding.”

Blood for the Immortals

Blood for the Immortals

The academy gates loomed ahead, massive black iron twisted into the shape of thorned vines. It glowed faintly along the metal, humming with magic that made the hairs on my arms stand on end. Two guards stood at the entrance, both armed with blades that looked older than the city itself. One was a vampire, pale as moonlight with eyes like melted gold. The other… I didn’t even know. His skin shimmered faintly, like his shape was never fully fixed in one form. They scanned us, eyes lingering on me, but Davorin murmured something under his breath and they stepped aside.

The Pack's Dragon

The Pack's Dragon

“Let’s get this altar set up.” He picked up a vase of roses, their scent rich but not as complex as those around the river house. Cameron had filled a basket with herbs and flowers from the witches house and Talen carried it over one arm, cradling two bottles of wine on his other arm. “At this point, the wine is more symbolic,” Heath commented. “None of us can drink it.” “Speak for yourself,” Talen smirked a little. “Damn it,” Heath smothered his laughter as he realized that Talen spoke the truth.

Lilitu: The Memoirs of a Succubus

Lilitu: The Memoirs of a Succubus

The figure was too distant for me to see if it was Sven or not, but I assumed the same. Later, we went to Loretta’s home, where she challenged Mr. Pervis to a drink-off, and effortlessly won. Mr. Pervis was soon fast asleep, so Loretta and I had the house to ourselves. She turned up the phonograph and wasted no time pouring more drinks, as her tolerance for alcohol was unquenchable—we blamed her unusually expedient healing powers. I had my first taste of bloodwine that night, and found that my tolerance was not so high. After just two glasses, I was dancing with her through the house, bouncing on the cushions of the sofa, the both of us singing and giggling all the while. It was more fun tha

Battle of the Immortals

Aleister immediately did what he said. Roberto pours wine on another glass and gave it to Aleister. “Thank you.” They quietly sip their wines while starring at the sky. Few moments later, Roberto breaks the silence. “Where did you buy this wine?” “Oh, my father owns a wine company—” “This is not blood, right?” “No, no, no! It really is a wine made from grapes and the company is being run by mortals, and inferior vampires only supervise. It really is—”

The Unwanted Sister's Alpha King

The Unwanted Sister's Alpha King

One elder, Alden, stepped forward and knelt by the spilt wine, taking a small vial from his cloak. “Alden, test the wine,” I instructed. With a nod, Alden dipped a thin glass rod into the liquid and then into his vial. The wine turned violently purple, indicating the presence of poison. My jaw clenched. “The wine is poisoned!” Alden announced, his voice echoing in the grand hall, and gasps of shock rippled through the room. Cassandra's face drained of colour, and she wrenched her arm free, only to be grabbed immediately by Ethan.

I'm glad i stuck it out. yes, the book is long, and at times, it does drag on, but what the author did, they did justice to the story itself. unlike most books, the endings are always a letdown. this author knew how to conclude it. continued in comments

It is a long book but I didn’t feel like it dragged out because it was so full of details and the author made sure to tie up any loose ends so it didn’t leave you wondering. Will definitely be sticking around for the fantasy version of it.

Throne of Blood

Throne of Blood

“Did ye really believe that a wee thing like ye can kill me?” I open my eyes slowly, and that’s when I see him. At first, I think it’s a trick of my imagination because of how much I’ve been thinking about him all day, but when Julian takes a bit more time to stand up after placing his weapon on the ground, I catch a glimpse of Ethan behind him. He’s soaked in blood, his face, his shirt, and even his hair. Oh, God—has he been shot? Rolan must notice him too because he says, “Ye—”

they bowed and immediately went to work. Carissa went and sat down at the dinner table. Ignoring Mateo and Nicanor’s presence by the door. It wasn’t long before someone comes and brought a few bottles of blood wine for her. Then, a servant came out from the kitchen and brought a glass over. The servant opened the bottle lid and poured the wine blood into the glass, “My Queen, your wine.” Carissa took the glass and moves it slightly before chugging it in one go. The smell and taste of blood that lingered within the wine sickened her but she resisted it for the sake of gaining her strength back.
