“Which would you like?” I examined the hairbrushes. One was black, another brown, and another a dark orange. But the color that stuck out the most to me was blood red. My hair had already been stained by the blood of my family. I didn’t want to forget them, no matter what I did to survive. “That one.” I pointed.

Thick, crimson liquid drips down the children’s faces, pools in their outstretched hands, stains their clothes. It looks like a massacre.

There was no mixture of any color. ' He grumbled through the mind link. Red, it was the colour of blood. It is the colour that spills as one is tortured and beaten. The deep shade was the most visual form of pain.
