As I look to see who’s calling, all the butterflies in my gut instantly turn to boulders.

Now being in…” He gestured vaguely toward Jaxon. “…his presence,” he said with a half laugh, “ is feeling like I’m in Xavier Steel’s presence.” Aurora laughed properly this time. It wasn’t loud, but it was genuine. “Jaxob is a sweet kid.”
