Screwed Into Forever [Forbidden Collection]

Screwed Into Forever [Forbidden Collection]

I locked the front door, dimmed the overhead lights to just the warm glow of the reading lamps, and flipped the sign to *Closed* but didn't lock it. The shop smelled like old paper, cedar shelves, and the faint vanilla of the candle I’d lit earlier. I should have gone home. Should have poured wine, watched the ball drop on my tiny TV, toasted alone. Instead I lingered. I wandered to the back corner—the erotica section nobody ever asked for help finding. I pulled a slim volume from the top shelf: The Art of Surrender. The cover was black with gold lettering, no photo. Perfect. I sank into the worn velvet armchair tucked between the stacks, the one customers sometimes used to read a chapter be

Bloodscript: Survival Game of the Reborn

Bloodscript: Survival Game of the Reborn

At first, it was just… mass. Piled tomes, some leather‑bound, some cheap paperbacks, some thick, cracked hardcovers. They stacked themselves, spines grinding against spines, pages fusing together, bindings bursting, until they made a torso. Arms built themselves from arrhythmic columns of volumes, hands of splayed, stiffened pages whose edges glinted sharp as blades. Chains meandered out of the mess—hundreds of bookmarks, metal and ribbon and cord, weaving themselves into links that wrapped around the book‑body like restraints turned adornment.

Paperwork and Hearthbeats

Paperwork and Hearthbeats

Above the countertop, there is an open shelving section built into the wall unit, holding a few brightly coloured folders adding colour to the otherwise natural space. Harper approached to printers control panel, to select her print job on the small screen and confirming the print job. The machine started printing, pulling paper from one of its trays and feeding it through with a series of soft mechanical sounds. After several minutes, a large stack of paper would appear in the output tray on top. She collected the document, straightening the pages and taking them to the counter. She sorted through the documents, organising them in three separate packs and then she tapped the stack lightly a

Corrupt Temptation

Corrupt Temptation

Instead of using a lock an organic substance that resembled thin hardened vines or entwined prickly twigs wrapped around the cover and held it closed. They appeared to have a slight nearly living pulse. I scowled curious. What sort of book was this and why was it bound this way? I tugged harder my fingers grazing the rough intricate surface as I attempted to untangle the odd binding. Then a piercing burning pain. I let out a gasp. I looked down at my finger as I flinched away dropping the book with a loud thump. My skin had a thin deep line that was already crimson and dripping blood. With a sharp hiss of pain I muttered a curse. I had been deeply and sharply cut by the binding.

First of all, I love the suspense. Its giving read more and find out and then I like Ivy's boldness or should I say her not being scared of anything. Like, I could feel the chills when she saw the rope. Girl isn't scared of anything... lemme go and read more... Nice work, author.

In Bed With The MC President

In Bed With The MC President

The grate in the library was secured by four heavy-duty flathead screws. Aaron’s house was a minimalist's dream, which meant there were no stray tools, no junk drawers, nothing out of place. I found my solution at 7:00 PM in the library. Elena had stepped out to take a call from the central hub in the basement, leaving me alone with the thousands of silent books. On the desk there was a silver-weighted bookmark. It was a thin blade of polished metal meant to hold the place of rare manuscripts. I picked it up. The edge was blunt but the tip was tapered and strong.

The Price Of Fate

The Price Of Fate

It had a scaled grain to it, subtle and unnatural, as if the thing it came from had not been fully one thing or another either. I ran my fingers lightly over it and an uneasy chill moved through me. The book was old. Very old. And not made from anything that belonged to ordinary pack life. Then I saw the lock more clearly. It was not a lock the way normal books had clasps or latches. It looked grown rather than attached, as though the book itself had formed a hard, curved fastening from the same dark material as the cover. There was a tiny raised point in the centre of it and a faint seam around the edge. It almost made me think of a sleeping eye. Or a sealed mouth.

Preguntas frecuentes

Bookbinding is such a satisfying craft, and I love how tactile it feels to create something from scratch. For a basic project, you'll need some sturdy paper or cardstock for the cover—I often repurpose old cereal boxes or thick watercolor paper. The pages themselves can be regular printer paper, but if you want a nicer feel, go for something like 80-100 gsm paper. You'll also need a bone folder (or a butter knife in a pinch) to crease folds neatly, a sharp needle and strong thread for sewing signatures, and PVA glue or bookbinding glue for the spine. Don’t forget a ruler, pencil, and cutting tool like an X-Acto knife!

For embellishments, the sky’s the limit: cloth or leather for fancier covers, decorative endpapers, or even ribbon bookmarks. I once used vintage wallpaper scraps for a cover, and it turned out gorgeous. The key is experimenting—my first few attempts were messy, but now I gift handmade notebooks to friends. There’s something magical about holding a book you’ve bound yourself, flaws and all.
