More On Addicted

My mouth was dry and I felt like crying. "It went on for years, Dear, starting from when he was sixteen. Then, there was all these debts building up from his addiction. Sometimes even strange men would come around demanding money or dropping him off at the doorstep..." her voice faded into the background but was still the peak of my interest. I looked up from her to the room around me and met a pair of familiar light blue eyes staring back. Zac was standing at the door, his smile was wide and his eyes carefree, and I knew that even if I tried to smile, he would know that something was wrong anyway.

She smirked lightly, "Demons are cocky bastards and being so full of themselves. That is always their downfall." "Humans are just as bad, ya know." He said as he nodded to a couple of customers that were tucked off in a booth against the far wall. "Danny over there just got out of rehab for his meth addiction, but he bounced right back into it not so long after." He glanced to the clock on the wall just above the door. "Any second now."

The Ex-wife He Regrets Losing!

The Ex-wife He Regrets Losing!

"Here's my completion certificate. My discharge papers. My treatment plan." I took the papers. Read through them carefully. Everything looked legitimate. Dates. Signatures. Official letterhead. "Thirty days isn't very long," I observed. "It's a start. They recommended ninety-day residential treatment but I couldn't afford it." Andrew's voice was steady. "So I'm doing outpatient. Three meetings a week. Plus daily AA meetings." "Daily?" "Every single day. Sometimes twice a day when the cravings get bad." He pulled out a small notebook. "I track them. See? Today I went to a meeting at seven AM. I'll go to another one tonight at eight."

For the Love of a Guardian

For the Love of a Guardian

Over the next week, I decide what I want to do, not necessarily to honor my father, but to make sure that this doesn’t happen to anyone again. I meet with Alpha Patrick, Anders and Clint and I tell him what I’d like to do. Our pack is known for its internal gambling. It’s a fun past-time that helps break up monotony when things are quiet and helps blow off steam during stressful times. However, there are times when people, like my father, become addicted. I tell them that I want to develop a program or some way that any people in our pack that become addicted to gambling, or begin to show concerning signs that they are getting in over their head financially, are identified early and get the

Love the Guardian series! This author does an amazing job at bringing you into the story. The flow is great, the characters are developed and you really get to know them. There are not many (if any) grammatical errors which is Very nice. Good job! I will continue to read all the books you put out.

half way through the book & I'm finally understanding the gravity of what Lily meant to Anders, Cali & Clint. To think what Clint's(broken warrior) fate will be is heartbreaking. To think they went from seeing eachother everyday to once a week on Thursdays. With this thought in mind, its a sad read.

It's Not Too Late

When I just got out of rehab, I saw a parked Audi. This luxury car appeared out of place next to the small rehab center. I glanced at it and was about to leave. The person who got out of the car called me. It was Mark. He looked more mature than three years ago. But I only took one glance at him.. My teacher at the rehab said it was impolite to stare at others, especially someone you liked. Having spent three years at the rehab, I had been completely brainwashed by teachers there.
