No matter how much he stared, he could never get enough of her. His girl moved with such quiet purpose, so ordinary and entirely captivating. He barely glanced at the rest of the flat. It was cozy, simple and perfect for one person. Killian stepped closer. His gaze roamed the small living room, imagining her living so simply. When he reached the television stand, his cold eyes fell on a white book resting neatly in front of it. He picked it up and scanned the title: ‘How to Get Rid of Depression.’ Curiosity piqued. Killian flipped it open and noticed lines carefully highlighted.

"Been there, done that." But then, why was I still staring at the section with such interest? Maybe because I haven't been horizontal in a while or was it the thought that I won't be for a long while to come? Whatever the reason, I was still staring transfixed at the cover of the closest book in my line of sight. A picture of the curve of a woman's back in a red hue titled The Devil's my New Teacher by Ms. OG. I picked up the book and added it to the pile in my hand. Oh well.

“For sending him back the way I could love him from afar.” She folded the note carefully, tucked it into her journal, and started walking home. Her heart felt heavy, but no longer hollow. Behind her, the waves erased her footprints again one last time. Far away, in another town, Liam stood outside a bookstore window. Inside, on display, was The Art of Staying Gone her book. He didn’t go in. He didn’t need to. He simply stood there for a while, watching strangers pick it up, leaf through it, smile softly.

I closed the album and shoved it in my luggage along with my awards and journals. These items were reminders of who I used to be, proof that I once believed in the family. Now, it was time to let them go. I zipped and locked the suitcase. Rising to my feet, I walked out without looking back. “Hold it right there, Miles!” Alexander growled from behind me,” I’ll show up at your workplace and humiliate you if you sell the place. “I’ll show everyone what a cold-blooded monster you are for throwing your family out on the street!”

He had a rather calm composure compared to his brothers. I pulled out a random book. Born in Fire by Nora Roberts. A romance novel didn't sound bad. “Guess you will be keeping me company today, Nora.” I whispered, leaving the library with the book, and walked back to my room. I was barely on the tenth page of the book when my phone buzzed on the nightstand. I glanced at the screen and saw that it was a call from my therapist. A small smile tugged at my lips as I answered the call.

The girl said. “Same here. I actually thought that this book wasn’t popular but you’re reading it as well. Oh, I’m Kayne by the way, Kayne David.” “I’m Natsumi Koga, it’s nice to meet you!” “Ah yes, you as well. I was actually about to ask if you always come here.” Kayne asked. “Uhuh, I always go to this café every time I go to town, this is actually kind of my spot, haha.”

Amnisty greeted them with a smile on her face making her cute chubby cheeks popped out. “Thank you,” Clandes replied cheerfully while Mauvais responded with a low voice. “Clandes.” All of them turned to Amavus who just went out of his room. He was bringing a book, My Journey Beyond My Imagination. The cover was removed. Clandes’ eyes widened and she came closer to him immediately to get the book but Amavus threw the book to the fireplace. “Honey!” Tina exclaimed, she didn’t know what was book all about.
