Without giving a response, he reached for his bag- a small brown leather bag that was placed close to him on the floor. “Here,” it was a novel, and that made her gaze narrow on it, then slowly, their eyes locked. She hesitated, staring at it longer than expected, but after his hand fidgeted due to staying in an uncomfortable position for long, she reached for it. “It should help,” it was Damon's baritone voice. “Hope in the dark?” She asked, with her eyes fixed on the novel and a hint of confusion playing in her eyes. “By Rebecca Salnit, yes,” he completed, and a sip of the coffee followed. “You should try it out.”

Yet he couldn't seem to ask any of those questions. After ending the call, he picked up the book he was reading, ' I am Mighty Me', and continued flipping through the pages. He was one of the first batches to have preordered the book, and he finally got his hands on it. He glanced through the book, his eyes scanning across each page, as if the gentle, delicate words on the page could allow him to interact with her inner world. There was even her own signature scribbled on the title page of the book. He chuckled when he came to the part about 'Hilden Adams'.

Eager to occupy my time while waiting for Beatrice to finish treating Lord Easterlin, I step inside, ready to explore the shelves. To my utmost surprise, I find a Mafia romance novel on the shelves. I can’t help but wonder who it belongs to, but I don’t dwell on it for long and begin to read the book. Mafia romance novels are one of my favorite genres, though I can read any romance genre. The name of the book is “A Second Chance.” I'm turning the page of my book when the voices outside the library halt my action. I’ve been reading for quite a while now, and the sun is close to setting. I recognize their voices immediately, and their conversation piques my interest.

He had a rather calm composure compared to his brothers. I pulled out a random book. Born in Fire by Nora Roberts. A romance novel didn't sound bad. “Guess you will be keeping me company today, Nora.” I whispered, leaving the library with the book, and walked back to my room. I was barely on the tenth page of the book when my phone buzzed on the nightstand. I glanced at the screen and saw that it was a call from my therapist. A small smile tugged at my lips as I answered the call.

I mutter, looking at my foot, which was hit by some sort of book. I lift my foot and give it a light massage with my hands before picking up the book. As I read its title, "FAREWELL TO HUMANITY," I remember the events: mountain, rock, handsome man, fainting, handsome man, book, handsome man... Yeah, lots of events. I'm not doing well; I barely left home and I've already gotten myself into trouble, cursed mountain. Still lost in recent events, I run my finger over the couple on the book's cover, and for some reason, Deniel's image comes to mind, causing a small (very small) smile to form on my lips. He's so handsome and masculine.

I glance at the cover of the book she slid across the counter: a Catherine Bybee novel. “Oh, wow, Mathilda. You’re a fan of Catherine Bybee?” I smile, genuinely impressed as I open the ledger. “It’s refreshing to see a teenager with such classic taste. Most girls your age are glued to their phones, but here you are, diving into a good romance.”

My breath shuddered out of me. "Favorite color?" "Red," I breathed. A dark chuckle. "Not surprised. You do know how to bite." His lips brushed the sensitive spot below my ear, and I shuddered. "Favorite movie?" "I do not have one." "Favorite book?" His hands moved over my hips, shaping the curve of my ass, then slid back up to tease the underside of my breasts like he was testing what made me react. "Jane Austen," I gasped. "Pride and Prejudice."

my eyes landed on a book. “ The count of Monte Cristo” I read the title out loud “ have you read that ?” I asked turning back to Luca. He nods. And I spontaneously blurted out a squeal in excitement. finally someone who enjoys reading romance. But my enthusiasm was short lived, It was weird because its luca but for a second I didn’t care cause it didn’t matter. “ I’ve always loved the story of Dante” I beamed a smile in attempt to conceal my excitement.

I repeated. I'm gonna call him, Azi for now. I get excited every time I go home and saw Azi who is always waiting for me. to come home. He often barked especially when I just arrived from San Albereda University. I smiled as I think of my baby Azi. I am currently inside the library. As usual, I was reading a book. But this time, it's not an educational book. I was reading a novel. A good novel. Safe Haven. Nicholas Sparks wrote the book. All I know is it also has a movie. Maybe I will watch it too.
