Downtown was alive, the streets bustling with locals and visitors alike, stalls from the farmer’s market lining the sidewalks.
They spent the morning wandering through stalls, tasting fresh honey and berries, picking out vegetables and artisan breads. Marcy bought a jar of lavender honey, promising to sweeten Carter up even more.
"Sweet enough already," Carter teased, stealing a quick kiss.
Next was brunch at a sunny café with outdoor seating. Over mimosas and fluffy pancakes, they shared stories, laughter, and even more teasing. Lilly couldn't remember the last time she'd felt this light, this free.
