After the party last night, saying goodbye to Ella, I asked her out for lunch this time, it was my turn to ask her out, she said yes. We went to our home with a big wide smile plastered on my face, this was the best birthday ever, how did she even managed to find a little that likes reading and books. I can't believe that Kael would be reading one of Linda Lively’s books. “You read… this?” I said, the surprise evidently in my voice. Kael looked up, one brow raised. “Why? You think I only read racing magazines and bank statements?” I gave a small laugh. “Chill bro. It’s just… not what I was expecting ”

I don’t know if I’ve read thirty percent of the books on my shelf.” “I only keep the ones I like. I have a rule that if I don’t read a book within a year of buying it, I donate it.” She laughed. “If I had that rule, I wouldn’t have any books left.” Placing the book in her hand back onto the shelf, she continued looking before taking out another one. “Lady Chatterley’s Lover, huh? I have read this one.”

So time went by, until one day I went to a meeting of friends, we all got together to go to a literature expo, this was very special, because we had a book club, in which we met every week to read a book, depending on the theme we were touching. So we were very interested in this expo, it was going to last three days and it was from eight in the morning to two in the afternoon, so we had breakfast and lunch, after lunch we went out and the last day started at twelve o'clock, we had lunch and dinner. Emma said, walking deep into the living room. "Thanks." She walked to a set of shelves on the far side of the room, running her fingers over the spines of his books. A lot of them were classics, novels by Dickens, Voltaire, Dumas, Melville, and Hemingway. She smiled when her fingers ran over the spine of not one, but three copies of Mitchell's Gone with the Wind. There were modern novels, too, including Stephen King and Sidney Sheldon, but they didn't look as well read as some of the others.

And they're huge. The way the story ends in this book isn't complete, because Adonis and Bella get another book in the series. That book is the sixth, so I can't proceed with their story without finishing books 2, 3, 4 and 5, because the 6th book picks up from where Bella and Adonis's story left off in this book but continues through the story of the rest of the couples. And I simply don't want to ruin the surprises the other couples have to offer in the meantime.

5 years ago, I was blessed to open a publishing house as well. E.H. Publishing has had success with multiple top-selling books, and awards. I am grateful for my success, and the benefits packages that accompany it but, were I being honest with myself, I feel empty. It has been several decades since I felt a woman embrace. I have tried, I have tried to move on but, soon all becomes dust in the wind and I have yet to find someone who touches my soul just as my sweet Eliza did. I will never again be able to see her, feel her again.
