REJECTED BY THE ALPHA, CHOSEN BY THE MOON

REJECTED BY THE ALPHA, CHOSEN BY THE MOON

The book was fairly big, and looked like it had been opened and closed by many hands, the edges were frayed and the book had a brown tint to it. "The chronicle of the six?" I asked, wondering what was the idea behind the name of the book. "Yes, it details the creation and the extent of the power of the deities" he said to me, still stretching it out, patiently, waiting. Why would I need to read a book about deities though? Well, I didn't have a choice, he knew more than me and I was happy to learn as much as I could. I took the book from him and closely examined it, flipping the pages open. The lettering wasn't so big, but the words in the book called to me in a strange way, I suddenly could

He leans down and kisses me gently, the complete opposite of the rough fuck we just had. When he pulls away from me, he is smiling. "Okay, now that we've gotten that out of the way, we should find some answers." He states as he pulls a chair of for me before sliding into one himself, grabbing the first book from the pile. "This is one of the first books written about Demonology. It's said to contain information dating back to the first demons and fallen angels." "Okay, so what are we supposed to do, read it?" I ask as I try to open the dusty old book, making a face when it won't open."

Meant To Be HIS

Meant To Be HIS

Our counseling sessions had continued, not because there was anything wrong going on between Damien and I but because I needed answers for future issues. "We're both growing and sometimes I fear us backsliding and giving up on Christianity because of how clueless we are." I opened up to her. "The solution to this is to commit to growing. Through more time spent fellowshipping with the brethren and giving yourself to study. There are several Christian books that can guide you on your journey and the Bible is the number one book to look to. It is God's Word." She said. I nodded, "Book recommendations?" "Sure." I took out my journal and jotted down a list of books as she mentioned the names and

Really good follow on from the first book and I love how you have incorporated Christ in this book & their love story. As a growing Christian this was lovely to read, it didn’t have as much steam as the first book I can understand why but definitely drama filled.

Last Vampire.

Last Vampire.

He thanked her and focused on arranging the books properly; the last thing he wanted was for the father to tell his mother that the books were poorly organized, which would lead to sermons he couldn't bear. The books he was organizing had titles in Roman and Greek. They dated back to ancient centuries, their covers were faded and old, and so were their illustrations. Most of them were about Christianity, some about sects related to it or sects against it. He just wanted to finish quickly. He crouched down to pick up another pair of books when the cover of one of the books, which was in a large pile, caught his attention. He took it in his hands, removing the dust. Out of all the books he had

Below them seemed to be normal humans and animals. She wondered where the building the two deities were hovering over was on the continent. She walked to the shelf beneath the tapestry and skimmed the titles. Most of them seemed to be religious books about the deities and creation, but there was one titled The Great Conflict. She pulled it from the shelf and opened it to the first page.

But taking the book from Noah, I saw a few lines that made me realize exactly what it was. What exactly is divinity? What are entities? Can logic be used in asserting these questions or are we to stumble as though blind, reading from book to book, searching for answers that have been hidden since time began, not questioning our very existence. Truly, divinity blinds us to logic, because, when we're in awe of such high handed idealogies, our minds try to conform to that image we retained by any mean necessary. Truly, man is a gullible creature, through and through.

Dark and Divine!

Her freedom will be snatched, she will be nothing but a puppet in his hands. "Sit down... You are straining your leg" He said not at all affected by her words. "That's the last thing I care about right now" She spat. He sighed and pulled out papers from his jacket and threw it on the bed. Veronica limped towards the bed and sat on it, she grabbed the papers to read. "Divorce" She mumbled. She saw Zen's sign on it. She didn't feel bad, whatever he did after that she doesn't feel anything about him except hate.

He practically shoved it to her face. “It’s a book about divinity, my lady.” “Hm?” she hummed, reading the title. She was going to ask for a book on magic after she was one teasing, but this one didn’t seem like a bad choice. “It’s not about curses.” “We … don’t have what you’re looking for, my lady,” he replied, though Sylvia already knew. A book on curses was as rare as encountering a dark mage since owning one would immediately label one as an enemy of the state.

Divorce Is A Sin

Divorce Is A Sin

Even that detail, so precise and so Lila, made something tighten in Mia's chest. She cut the tape with a box cutter and folded back the flaps. Books. A scented candle. A University of Texas pennant. A rain jacket. And beneath all of it, wrapped in a plain paper bag, two composition notebooks—the kind with the black-and-white marbled covers that Lila had used for everything in college: class notes, grocery lists, arguments she was having with people who weren't in the room. She had called them her thinking books. Mia sat down on the concrete floor of the storage unit with the notebooks in her lap.

Ariah says thoughtfully. “Is it in the library here?” I ask. When she nods, I add, “I’d love to see it. I want to know what these mean. Maybe it’ll point me to some answers. Or something, at least.” I can use some reassurance that I won’t become some psycho because of who marked me. “A quick heads-up. The staff there will be watching you closely if you decide to check out the Book of the Divine. That book is special,” Celeste explains. “You’re not allowed to take it out of the library.”

If you loved 'Truth of the Divine', you might enjoy books that blend deep emotional introspection with speculative elements. 'The Space Between Worlds' by Micaiah Johnson is a fantastic pick—it’s got that same raw exploration of identity and trauma, wrapped in a multiverse sci-fi package. The protagonist’s journey feels just as personal and haunting as Cora’s in 'Truth of the Divine'.

Another great match is 'The Book of M' by Peng Shepherd. It’s got this eerie, poetic vibe where memories define reality, much like how 'Truth of the Divine' plays with perception and truth. Both books leave you with that same lingering ache, questioning what it means to be human. For something slightly different but equally gripping, 'Annihilation' by Jeff VanderMeer has that unsettling, psychological depth, though it leans more into horror. Honestly, after finishing 'Truth of the Divine', I craved stories that messed with my head in the same way—these did the trick.
