Louisa’s POV I was left on the bed, chained and collared. Despised and disfavored. I covered my face and wept silently. How could I be this stupid? Lucian and Leo were the only ones who were trying to help me. But I ruined it just like that. I was in tremendous fear again, having realized that there would be no one in this pack to help me. My stomach started turning and my head was deflated. Maybe a stupid girl like me didn’t deserve to be loved or cherished.

he corrected, but Louisa was still upset. “I don’t care. He must have gotten his heartlessness from you, but it's decided. He doesn’t deserve Zora. He can have any other woman but not her,” Louisa declared. Ezrah was good with business and should stay there. As for Michelle, she deserved someone better. Charity was depressed after Louisa ended the call on her. “What happened? Why are you moody?” “Let’s go and pick up Piper, but Louisa broke all ties with us. Was I vile for wanting our daughter’s freedom?” She sobbed. Her husband was heartbroken, knowing their business was going to suffer.

Just across the street was a small, rundown restaurant: Lila’s Diner, the sign crooked and barely glowing. My heart pounded harder. I was pulled forward, not walking, more like dragged through the walls of the building. And then I saw Louisa. She was slumped in a chair, arms tied to the wooden frame, her head resting limply on her shoulder. Her face was pale and her eyes were closed. For a split second, my mind couldn’t process anything else. My breath caught, I didn't know what to do. I rushed to her, trying to untie to her but then, I realised I couldn't touch anything.

As if someone—maybe a bride before her—had left it there, like a torch in the dark. It was not a prayer for salvation. It was a prayer for destruction. She whispered it anyway. > "Bone to ash, veil to flame—" The priest howled, throwing the book aside. “Silence! You invoke the cursed tongue!” Louisa raised her voice. Her gown caught fire from nothing. > "Bride unchained, return through blood!" The chapel ignited. The altar cracked. And Louisa burned, screaming not in agony, but in rage. > “I will return! Through blood! Through the child of your child’s child!”

MIA The outrageous video of Robert's shooting was still frozen on the television screen when I looked at Louisa. The image of Rebel, standing in front of a hundred flashing cameras with a pistol in her hand, and Robert, clutching his left shoulder and bleeding through his pristine suit, had been replayed a dozen times in the last twenty minutes. It was chaos on every channel. Chaos she had caused and Louisa… Louisa was pale. Her fingers worried at the gold band on her finger like it was a lifeline. She sat stiff, almost trembling, eyes glued to the screen like she still couldn’t process what she’d seen.

That bastard can kiss my ass. "Do you want the chocolate or the pork rinds?" Louisa says, holding them both up. "Or should we go really crazy and mix them?" And there it is - that little spark of mischief in her eyes that always seems to wake something inside of me. The spark a good girl gets when she's drinking a bottle of expensive stolen wine. Or as she's drawing dicks on a picture of Edward Carolson. The spark that shows me, just for a second, the real her. The girl not weighed down by guilt and shadows.

Louisa had suffered a tremendous amount of torture from Eternity during that time, which left her with a deeply-rooted hatred for the world and for the sisters who abandoned her. Her tears fell uncontrollably as she spoke, while Adrian said nothing as he looked at her. Louisa stared at him and continued, "Have you ever experienced what being abandoned feels like? Can you understand what I felt? That's the reason why I don’t have any dreams or hopes in my life. So, I'm going to kill all of you… I'm bringing you all down to hell with me! "I hate everything… "I hate the world!" Louisa's face was drenched with tears.

They never see me coming. My brother’s fall won’t be sudden. It will be elegant. I will make sure of that. And when Larisa finally realizes what she’s lost— Control. Power. Her son— It will already be too late. I switch off the light and lie back on the bed, hands folded neatly over my stomach. Tomorrow, I’ll pull another thread. And another. Until everything unravels exactly the way I want it to.

Then suddenly, the screen lit up. “Cyn!” Louisa squealed, appearing in the frame with messy hair bundled into a bun and a hoodie wrapped around her shoulders. “My baby girl!” Cynthia laughed instantly. “Look at you, all Canadian and cozy.” “Forget that one,” Louisa said, adjusting her camera. “Where have you been? You didn’t call me for gist. I’m beginning to think you’ve replaced me.” Cynthia snorted. “I can never replace you, please. You’re too stressful.”

What if Lewis changes his target when he finds that Louisa is absent? Connie is unsympathetic or possibly sexist and racist and seems to have it in for her, and she annoys Christa frequently. But she doesn’t deserve this; she is a family. Christa tries to figure out a way to free Connie, and then she sees the fire alarm. There appears to be no better way; she is ready to pull the alarm; when she spots Louisa steaming down the corridor toward Lewis and Connie. Why is Louisa here? She promised to leave the hotel and stay at home tonight. Louisa is not drunk; will she change Louisa’s destiny? Or does Louisa still have sex with Lewis under some superpower?
