Just three books out of all these eye-catching feasts before me? I wish I could buy the whole shelf because there were wide varieties of books also the books I wanted to read so badly which had been stuck on my wish list for years. I could see the Harry Potter series pocking out of the fantasy section; my all-time favorite book. But I had already read them back home so it's a waste of time. I also saw Nancy Drew and Hardy Boys books to my left which excitingly was the crime and thriller section, I had almost read all of them too. I

Kai walked off toward Ms Leta who was still busy reading her book, probably to speak to her about something. Clarissa didn’t follow him as she was drawn to the shelves already. She walked through the rows as her fingers brushed along the books gently. Most of the books had thick covers. “Pattern Drafting Vol 1,”Clarissa read the book titles in a low tone as her eyes wandered to find the one she wanted. “History of Fabric Dyeing, Creative Sketching 101.” She moved down the aisles, her eyes still scanning the books. Some were old while others looked rather new.

When my shift ended, I found myself walking toward the corner table where Kael sat, his laptop closed now, a book in his hands. I stopped short when I saw the cover. ‘Knot We Cannot Untie.’ That was the book he was holding. I can't believe that Kael would be reading one of Linda Lively’s books. “You read… this?” I said, the surprise evidently in my voice. Kael looked up, one brow raised. “Why? You think I only read racing magazines and bank statements?” I gave a small laugh. “Chill bro. It’s just… not what I was expecting ”

“I also read thrillers. Dan Brown, Lee Child, and Matthew Reilly.” “I haven’t seen so many books in anyone’s house since a long time now,” she said, enchanted by the room. “Most people read on the Kindle.” “I like the feel of a paperback in my hand. The smell of books is irreplaceable.” She liked his old-fashioned thinking and appreciated how he was sharing these little insights with her.

The one who writes about all those bearded brothers? Penelope Reads? Penny Reads? Penny Reid! That's it!
