“Oh, and the villain was a complete idiot!” he said heatedly. “The villain finds Claire, who she thinks is the main character Feyre, and tortures and kills her. Makes sense. But then when the real Feyre arrives, the villain suddenly decides to give her a chance! It was like in those old James Bond movies where the villain has already won, but decides to give a long monologue that allows Bond to escape. It made no sense. A villain, really. The word ‘villain’ had me jolting in surprising. I was gradually accepting my fate that I entered a book world but did I become a book villain? A villain would either die at the end of the story or be cast out of the pack in humiliation, neither of which appealed to me. Wait, no way! Was I heading down a path to death again!? No, I got a new life and thought I would live a long and fulfilling life and then die of old age! If truly Selene was the villain, then I had to find a way to change her/my fate.

I was truly living the life of a side character, being treated that way by my own brothers. I picked up the pesticide bottle, twisted it open, and poured it straight into my mouth. "What are you doing?!" Charlie screamed in terror, his face turning deathly pale. Even the usually composed Lucas panicked at that moment. "Are you insane? Did you really drink it?" My consciousness grew increasingly hazy, and I thought, 'What's so insane about it?' The original character in that world, Maddison Sherman, was just a villainous side character doomed to die sooner or later anyway. I remembered that the original plot said that she was supposed to die there, but it was by suicide with a knife instead.
