His Silent Luna

His Silent Luna

He held out a small parcel. I opened it, to reveal a small, leather book filled with blank, cream colored pages. It fit into the palm of my hand, and there was a small pen tethered to the book. “Thank you,” I wrote. “It’s my pleasure,” he said. “Don’t worry about filling it up. See?” He opened the book, and showed me how the pages were actually a second book, bound in thicker paper, that could slip out and be replaced. “It’s a scout’s journal,” he explained. “We all carry them. I thought it would work as your voice.”

His Book club

His Book club

When my shift ended, I found myself walking toward the corner table where Kael sat, his laptop closed now, a book in his hands. I stopped short when I saw the cover. ‘Knot We Cannot Untie.’ That was the book he was holding. I can't believe that Kael would be reading one of Linda Lively’s books. “You read… this?” I said, the surprise evidently in my voice. Kael looked up, one brow raised. “Why? You think I only read racing magazines and bank statements?” I gave a small laugh. “Chill bro. It’s just… not what I was expecting ”

Mating The Half She-Wolf

Mating The Half She-Wolf

It felt like a world I might actually want to be a part of someday. I wandered into a bookstore with crooked shelves and a sleepy old wolf man behind the counter. He nodded once when I came in, sniffed as if to confirm who I was, then went right back to his paper. I spent an hour in there, fingers tracing over old maps of pack territories and novels with titles like ‘The Luna’s Song and Moonbound Hearts’. I bought a journal and a pen. I didn’t know what I’d write yet, but it felt like something I needed.

Until The Last Day

Until The Last Day

Vincent nodded his head as his fire hissed low, struggling to stay lit. “Yes. It's a writing sound,” he replied. In front of them appeared—a tall oak desk that seemed as grand as a throne. Upon it, a massive leather journal opened by itself, its pages flipping rapidly. Each page had fresh words in black ink, still wet, dripping like veins down the page. Camela’s stomach churned. “It’s…writing on its own,” she said. The journal stopped on a page that lay wide open. At the top of the page was a neatly written date: “Entry One.”

Fated to My Brother in-law, The Lycan King

Fated to My Brother in-law, The Lycan King

It was a book— books from Elias, and a short note from Elias saying he got her the books so she wouldn't feel lonely and miss me too much. I closed the box back with so much care and left it like it was untouched. I explored further into the room and found a table and chair at the corner of the room. There was an opened book and a graphic pen in the middle, coated with dust I blew off the dust and picked up the book. It was a journal filled with Reine's writing. She also titled the journal 'when it started going wrong' I sat on the chair and opened a drawer. Just like this journal, there was another Reine titled, 'My entire experience here.'

A Wife For Nico Vescari

A Wife For Nico Vescari

I stripped my jacket off when I got into my room, loosening my cuffs as I headed straight for the bathroom, getting into the shower. After having a quick bath, I wrapped a towel around my waist, pausing just when I saw the safe. I hadn’t opened it in days. I considered ignoring it. Then I walked over, keyed in the code, and pulled it open. The journal sat exactly where I left it, and flipped to the page I had marked. Day 80 I need a book boyfriend. Who’d pin me down and make sure I can take it, even when I can’t. ~C I stared at it for a second. Laughing so hard the sound surprised even me, as it echoed lightly in the bathroom.

The New Age King // Book 2

The New Age King // Book 2

She looks me over one last time before walking off, and I grind my teeth together in aggravation. Every time I bring up my major, I get the same looks. People just assume I am a wolfbagger, but I'm not. I genuinely find supernatural history interesting. I am not studying werewolves, so I can trick a werewolf into giving me long life or mating with me. I like learning about all of them, dragons, sirens, and fairies I sigh as I collect my pile of books. I already paid my tab on the cafe's app, so there is no need to call my disgusted waitress back over. I pull my jacket on and pick up my loaded book bag.

Great quicker read overall. There were unexpected plot twists and well developed banter throughout. The author brings life to different attitudes that aren’t commonly written into novels, which I loved. My only note is that I WISH the author would write more about the lives of Sara & Tab’s pups!

Paper Hearts: Clashing of Clans

Paper Hearts: Clashing of Clans

The contents thumped and it was kind of heavy. “Open it, silly boy.” With great vivacity he ripped the paper from the box and peeled away the tape that secured the edge and looked inside. He gasped as he brought the book out of its cardboard confines. “I know that you will never be able to replace the one that got messed up, but I thought maybe you’d like another one,” Sebastian said in a light, perhaps nervous tone. Jaxsen stared at the authentic camel leather binding of the journal in his hands and couldn’t breathe. The covers were textured under his fingertips and he could tell the paper inside was recycled. Just like his old one.

Family Ties

Family Ties

When people attempted to stop me to talk, I waved and said hello, but I kept the course to my destination. As I'd hoped, there was no one around. I unzipped my backpack and took out the blanket I'd packed, careful not to accidentally toss the journal on the ground. There wasn't anything ornate or special about the cover itself, although I was certain it had been expensive. The leather was soft like suede yet worn like a jacket. While I assumed it was new, it appeared aged. The words on the pages screamed at me to read them, but even if Jude hadn't written what was inside, I'd still covet the book for its beauty.

Bookworm Little.

Bookworm Little.

Kennedy POV. The weather was bad, but I needed to get that new book, it's Robert birthday gift, who'd knew a grown up man would kill for the newest werewolf love book. I got into my car, drove carefully toward the local book store, they had the new book reserved for me. It was supposed to one quick drive, until I walked into the library. A girl was sitting on a bean bag, her blond hair was covering her eyes with overgrown bangs, she tried to huff them away from her face but to no use. She looked young, maybe she's just here with her parents, looking down at the book she had in her hands it was a kids story. Does she read for the local kids? Or is it just for her?
