Dear Ex, See you never
The only language I've ever been fluent in.
I turn and capture his lips with mine.
The kiss starts slow, almost careful, Mike reading my mood and adjusting to it. But I don't want careful tonight. I want to feel something other than the grief sitting like a stone in my chest. I deepen the kiss, my hand fisting in his hair, pulling him closer until there's no space between us.
He gasps against my mouth and the sound goes straight through me.
"Damon.."
I don't let him finish. I stand, pull him with me, walk him backward until his back hits the bookshelf. Books tumble to the floor as I press against him, my hands sliding under that ridiculous sweatshirt to find warm skin.
