Booktok Sales Novels & Stories

I placed my books back, hoping I could put a smile to whomever buy them. I knew the craze over Midnight. I’d seen it beforehand on the internet. But it didn’t occur to me how fascinated a woman like Emma and her niece were with the book, and how it boosted the sales. I grabbed two more books. I’d rather buy books from small businesses as she had. When I got back to the counter, Mad was still chatting with Emma, but had two leather bracelets with silver and golden locks. “Here.” Mad put the bangle with a golden lock around my wrist.

My website crashed from the traffic. Mila was watching me with this expression I couldn't quite read. "Riley, what did you do?" she asked. "I took control," I said simply. My editor called. Valentina. She was screaming so loud I had to hold the phone away from my ear. "Riley! What the hell is happening? Every single book at every single store is sold out! Target, Barnes & Noble, everywhere! We can't keep up with the orders!" "Good," I said.

Freyja fell silent for a moment before saying, “That’s because I want to know the value of these books.” Putting it on sale on a publishing house was indeed different from releasing it on a platform. After all, only the best quality of books could be put on sale. The director nodded and said, “I can try to distribute and sell your book first, but let me make it clear for you. If the sales of your books aren't satisfactory, then I'm afraid I have to terminate our cooperation. However, if the response is good, we'll sign a contract and split the profits 50-50. What do you think?”

“Ma’am, the sales of your new book Red Thorn are moving a bit slowly,” reported by Jessica’s marketing staff. “How is that possible when the book is always on the bestseller list?” Jessica asked in surprise. “It’s on the bestseller list, yes, but compared to your previous books, the starting sales of Red Thorn are significantly lower.” “Why? What’s the reason? My book received good reviews, didn’t it?” “Bluestar Books Co. hasn’t offered Red Thorn to their customers yet," the staff said.

Don’t want to wag my tongue too early and cause you guys disappointment if it doesn’t make it into the book. Q: You mentioned that ko-fi supporters will be getting the published version? Let me elaborate on this. The regular price of my ebooks on A****n (that have around the same amount of words as the first volume of SSC will have) is around 7.99$ - 9.99$ However, you guys can get it for cheaper in three different ways:

“Don’t go poking a tiger with a stick, okay?” Gavin ignored him and continued. “Hell, Franklin, the answer’s simple. My sales are down because there are NO COPIES OF MY BOOKS, ANYWHERE.” Jim glanced around as he and Gavin approached the sliding glass doors at the rear of the lounge, which lead to a mezzanine overlooking the hotel’s front parking lot. An embarrassed flush rose past his collar. He nodded and smiled weakly at an acquisitions editor he knew standing at the bar. She gave them a look, and it wasn’t a good look, at all; more like a pitying, you sorry bastard kind of look.

His most dreaded task was now very easy unless he came across something very graphic. “Our department figures are good for book sales this month,” Becca announced. “Keep it up. We’re the top department in this company right now. I’m hoping for all round raises. You’ve all done very well.” That was an intriguing fact. Prior to his internship Zach had never paid any attention to the erotica genre. To know it was the best selling genre was a surprise to him. Then he remembered how well a certain erotica book had gone a few years before and how many knock offs had come out in the ensuing years. The buying power of women wasn’t to be underestimated.

She smiled at both books, thanked me and paid for both of them. It was almost closing time at the bookstore, but so far, I was in such a great mood. I loved it whenever I was able to convince Miss Winston’s customers to buy books. The woman had actually come in for a cookbook, yet somehow I had managed to convince her to take two paranormal romance novels and one normal erotica. Today had been a busy day. I was quite thankful for that, because it kept me from thinking about Lucia and Daniel. “Congrats on your sale,” Miss Winston said, appearing in front of me. “Keep up the good work and I’ll give you a promotion.”

Maya says. "You always write it down," Lily says. "Somebody has to," Maya says. The book sells in the way that true things sell — slowly at first, then steadily, then to people who press it into other people's hands with the specific urgency of someone who has found something that says a thing they couldn't say themselves. It is not a famous book. It is not reviewed in the places that make books famous. It is reviewed in three journals — one legal, one policy, one literary — with the specific appreciation of readers who recognize something real.
