Novel & Cerita Borrow Born Of Blood And Ash

Toward. Toward Ash. Toward Cove. Toward the kid about to explode. “Mother!” Wrath shouts. “Don’t!” I hit the vines. They don’t grab me. They part. First Blood knows First Blood. Ash is on her knees. Burning. Cove is on his. Smoking. Vines connecting them. Feeding. Killing both. I drop between them. Bone knife’s in my hand. Again. Always. “Stop,” I tell them. To Cove. To Ash. To the Tree. “Both of you. Stop.”

Xavier furrowed his brows. "Brother?" "Yes, he had a younger brother who was murdered by someone. Ashton loved him too much and his sudden death left a huge impact on his mind. He was emotionally broken and that's how he came into the dark world. Do you know that Ashton Finn is famous as the Blood King in the underworld because he loves to shed blood of his enemies? He tortures his enemy in the most brutal and vicious way that anyone could ever imagine. He is a bloodthirsty beast but what I am worried about that why is he after you?", Albert told Xavier in a serious tone. Xavier frowned.

The air shimmered — static turning to whispers. Welcome back, daughter of ash. The voice wasn’t Mateo’s this time. It was older, layered, infinite — the same tone I’d heard when the Blood Code had first awakened. I realized then what the purge hadn’t destroyed. The network hadn’t died. It had merged — not with me, but through me — into something alive. The old blood and the new code were now one. The birth of something beyond empires. Inheritance of fire, the voice murmured.

I was not sure why, even though they had confirmed me a witch, I felt so wrong. The rain started to pour, I watched my brother struggle for breath but he stretched forth his hands trying to reach for me. Slowly, I forced my legs to walk towards him and once I had, I crouched before him– “Lyra, wicked people –” and he shut his lips, eyes opened but he had stopped breathing. Tears rolled down my cheek, and I tried to force the same chants I had done with the cat some weeks back. “Virellion Thasra - Awaken from slumber, little one and breathe again. Come closer to the binding light and feel the life in front of you. Don't fade away.” I cried.

It was heavy, as if there was an invisible weight on our shoulders, but at the same time, there was a strange lightness, as if something was falling into place. With each step, I could hear the hearts of three individuals beating inside my chest. The sensation was bizarre, unsettling, as I had never experienced anything like it before. Unlike most vampires who are turned, I am a pure one. An extremely rare being. I was born of two vampires, something that, for many, was considered impossible. My mother fell in love with a vampire, my father, and, by some miracle of nature or magic, I was conceived.

His throat tightened at that. Ash. His brother, not by blood, but something deeper. Older. Bound by the kind of loyalty that didn’t come with words. The last. The last of his kind. A ghost walking in a dead man’s skin for centuries, trapped in a broken reality with no home left to return to. And now. now there’s a chance. A real one. Not just to survive. But to restore. To bring back what was lost. To fix what the fracture took.

Cursed. I pushed myself up from the floor, my chest heaving, as I gazed at the group of elders, tears falling down my cheeks and my voice breaking with every word. "If you can't feel sorry for me, then at least feel sorry for my child. Asher's child The Bloodclaw heir developing inside my womb.” Gasps again started going through the hall at my word, as some started murmuring in suprise, but however, one of the elders narrowed his eyes at me and sneered.

It was pain that hummed through her teeth. She sank beneath. And the visions came. Her mother birthing her beneath a crimson sky. Her father holding her with blood on his hands and a curse in his eyes. Victor, kneeling once, years ago, mouth full of promises he would never keep. Asher, hands torn, teeth bared, begging someone to let him protect what he could never own. And herself. Standing over a battlefield. Alone. Crownless. But not bowed. She gasped. The water didn’t fill her lungs.

Creatures seen that hadn’t walked the land in generations. “Who are the Ashborn?” I asked. Lucian looked up. “Exiled scions of Kaelith’s bloodline. Sorcerers. Fire-warped. Supposedly extinct.” “They’re not,” Fenton muttered. “They’ve just been waiting.” I touched the scroll again, watching the sigil in my palm flare faintly. “They think I’m her heir.” Lucian leaned in close, hand on mine. “You’re not.” “I might be.” “But you’re not her.”

And only the current priestess could feel the presence of another golden drop of blood from the next generation. Asha has been detected as the gifted child since she was three years old, but the golden drop of blood has never showed any movements in her body like what Priestess Eva Blood recounted in accordance with her own experience. It was not until it felt the passing of its owner did the golden drop of blood moved, and with the help of Asha’s special ability of blood manipulation. Asha’s special ability was swallowed up by the golden drop of blood, and the two, a slightly conscious treasure with a passive one melded and evolved with the misfortune that landed on their owner.
