Since the time of the ancient settlers, the city grew, and since the time the city grew, the trouble came. The trouble was wolves, but the wolves of the forest were no ordinary creatures. They possessed ungodly power with supernatural strength and heightened senses. They hunted men for sport and dragged their victims deep into the forest. The wolves of Banglador were ferocious monsters with human spirits. In the day, they would take the form of a man, but their bodies would change with the rising of the moon. The men became cruel and savage beasts, hungry for blood, and the town was in fear because of them. Some called them demons and others shifting shadows, but they were known to the world

’ I move to ask Ash, my attention still on Tori while I do. ‘Yes. It’s a rare moment in time when the moon turns red. Which means a blood moon is coming our way.’ ‘Great’ I groan. Tori’s voice soon drawing my attention back to him. “There were also wolves. Lots and lots of wolves. Lycan too. I was also able to smell rotting eggs and torn flesh, which meant we were also dealing with Rogues.” “Rogues?” “Yes” “Then what Tori?” “I saw four huge wolves and one massive looking one”

Blake secretly enjoyed William’s reaction. Unlike their adversaries, the yellow-eyed werewolves fed on the blood and flesh of animals. They eat typical things like grains, veggies, and fruits, yet there are moments when their bodies crave that type of food. Their throats become dry when they do not consume animal flesh or blood. They can’t stand it since it’s so painful, which is why they keep stock in the kitchen. Blake wouldn’t know if they were changing them every day with fresh ones because he was never assigned to the kitchen.

A meteorite could strike the earth, nothing was going to stop me. My disappointment knew no bounds when I felt her body pulled away from mine. I had been so charmed not to have noticed that my Beta bodyguard( he’d come after me when he sensed the panic in my mind), and the two bartenders were also after the rogues. They dragged her away from me. My wolf wailed. Their canines were all bared, ready to rip off the living daylight out of their victim. ‘Hey! What was that?’ Kylian, my bodyguard asked. His brows were tensed.

The weight in the air stole the words right out of their lungs. Then—crackling. Soft at first. Then growing. A low, eerie hum that crawled across the back of her neck. It was fire. And it was light. And it was alive. They turned. And everything else vanished. There, in the middle of the scorched battlefield, stood two figures so blindingly impossible that the world itself seemed to hold its breath. Two wolves. But not like anything they’d ever seen—not even in dreams. The first—massive, towering, wrapped in fire so pure it bled gold. Every movement of his fur sparked with flame, not chaotic but controlled, deliberate, powerful. His eyes were blue. Deep and endless. Familiar. Burning. Atlas.

A howl with a purpose. A quarter of the warriors followed and shifted, the sound of bones breaking and skin tearing serving as the music as the sun started to set. The battle willl stretch ‘til night. In place of the men were wolves, all mighty and ferocious. Fierce slit eyes, a magnificent mane of fur, and razor sharp nails digging the soil. The wolves sat and it was the others’ cue to climb onto them. Atleast four men could ride one wolf. Another howl came from Flavian, and altogether, the wolves huffed and took a leap. In the blink of an eye, all that was left of them were dust from the utter speed.

’ Vuk pressed, tone clipped. “You want to discuss that here?” ‘Yes. Either that or you’re going to show her how hard she makes you.’ I glanced down at the problem pressing against my zipper. “There’s no response from the Arabs,” I muttered under my breath, dragging my mind somewhere else. “And no black wolf sightings.” Black Wolves were extinct for a reason. They were fucking brutal—beasts bred from the demon wolf line. Whoever wanted one either planned to use them as mercenaries or to bleed them dry for their power.

It wasn't Holden, it wasn't Crimson, but it smelt like shit. ROGUES. There were three grey raggedy wolves looking in my direction, all of them with glowing red eyes as a mixture of saliva and blood dripped from their mouths. They locked eyes with me, slowly stepping in my direction. I knew this was going to get messy, but this time I was ready. I had to let my wolf take complete control if I were to survive. I shifted in a matter of a few seconds. My eyes widened as I crouched forward, canines and claws ready to pounce on my first victim. I've never felt so ready in my life and there was no turning back.

"I spent my whole life trying to destroy my father's legacy because I thought he hated me. But this boy... he is innocent. He is my bloodline too. I will not let them touch him." Devon stepped out through the frozen pine brambles, standing directly in the narrow cleft of the rock face. The blizzard screamed around him, tearing at his tattered clothes. Through the blinding white vortex, ten massive, charcoal-furred rogue wolves emerged from the shadow of the pines. Their eyes were bloodshot plates of sickly red light, and thick, frozen saliva dripped from their bared fangs. They did not hesitate. The moment they locked eyes on the lone, unarmed male blocking the entrance to the royal scent, t
