Bound To The Broken Alpha Novels & Stories

I swore on everything holy that I would. “Please,” she begged. “I, Cyrus Daxen, Alpha of Silver Crescent, reject you, Leonora Longwood, as my mate.” I waited a beat for her to say her part. “SAY IT!” “I-I-I Leonora Longwood, reject you, Cyrus Daxen, as my mate.” The bond ended abruptly. It hurt like a bitch, and she howled in pain, but I was too angry to feel anything. I stared at her face, feeling more and more disgusted by her now that the bond between us had been broken.

Everyone watched on in surprise, wondering what was going on, where, and how Matilda got the strength to give her father such a hard time. All through the history of the pack, an alpha had never been beaten like that, let alone being thrown on the ground by a younger wolf—not any younger wolf but his daughter, who was supposed to be wolfless. It took a while before Alpha Daniel was able to recover from the fall because of the impact with which he had hit the ground. But of course, he was an alpha, and it would take more than that for him to be brought to his knees permanently.

Declan, the Alpha heir of the Nighthowl Pack and my arranged mate, proposed to me right after donating his Alpha marrow to his childhood sweetheart. In my past life, I said yes out of love and for the sake of our pack alliance. But after we mated, the weight of two territories fell entirely on my shoulders. Losing that marrow broke Declan’s inner wolf. He couldn’t fight. He couldn’t shift. He couldn’t even give me a strong heir. I had to run the crystal mines while fighting off rogues for him. Before I even turned forty, I dropped dead. Utterly drained. Worked to death. And Declan? He comfortably took all the territory resources I had bled for and marked his little sweetheart. They lived hap

Slowly I watched as the sun slid from the moon, sunlight finally reigning in all its glory once more. "You're too late," Jeremy says, continuing to laugh hysterically. "Our Alpha has won and you've lost" He chokes up on his words when I place my paw against his throat pressing down on it, growling lowly. "He, he's already broken....broken the bond. Long live our Alpha. "

I replied. “You don’t understand the consequences,” one of the other Alphas said. “I understand them just fine,” I said, tightening my hold on Lyra. “What you were doing would have destroyed her.” Drake stepped closer, slower this time. “The bond won’t hold now.” I already felt it. The connection flickered, pulling away in places, slipping through my grasp no matter how hard I tried to anchor it. The ritual had damaged it, twisted it into something unstable. “I don’t care,” I said. “She’s alive.”

“You mean… me?” She nodded slowly. “Yes. You were his first mate. His true mate. But he rejected you. And now… he sees you with another. A stronger Alpha. His mind cannot take it.” I blinked. “So he’s going crazy… because I moved on?” “It’s not just that,” the elder continued. “It is the bond. The sacred bond. When it breaks unnaturally, it leaves a wound. And that wound can poison the heart, the mind… everything.”

The tether was broken, and the bond between Alpha and member is now broken. The agony crashes through me in relentless waves, making it nearly impossible to catch my breath. My vision blurs, and a coldness settles deep within my soul, hollowing out everything inside. I try to steady myself, clutching at the ground as if I could anchor the shattering remnants of my connection.

“Everything is breaking.” The words left my mouth before I could stop them. My chest burned. My breath came out slow and heavy. The ritual circle around me pulsed like a living thing, pulling power from my body again and again. Cassian stood across from me, calm as if nothing was wrong. But everything was wrong. I could feel it. My Alpha bond was fading. Not weakening. Fading. I gritted my teeth. “You said this would stabilize the birth,” I growled.

Break: The minute the Alpha bond was broken, the whole pack felt it. Like a ripple effect pulling out into the pack and then ripping apart each one of them. Eliza felt both the Alpha bond break and her mate bond shattered. She sat crying next to James unsure of what to do next. She was not sure how the pack would react. A creaking noise from the doorway broke her thoughts. She looked up seeing a young man standing in the doorway, his mouth hanging open in shock as he looked into the room.

The interesting part comes next. All around her a stifling, dark force crackled. I sensed something ancient in my bones. There is a problem. “You see, dear Katrina, I was getting ready for something much bigger while you were busy fighting my little distraction,” she said, gesturing languidly to the Crimson Alpha's corpse. The earth shook under our feet. The air became oppressive and heavy. Lucy was surrounded by writhing, living-like shadows. "I have connected with something that is older than any Alpha," she muttered. "Something so terrifying that even the gods were afraid."
