She shrieked my name and lunged at me, hand raised to strike.
But before she could land the blow, I caught her wrist.
The parking lot lights were dim, and the security cameras had been broken since yesterday.
No one came to fix them yet.
I twisted her arm aside and slapped her hard before driving my foot into her stomach.
She crumpled to the ground, gasping, writhing in pain.
I looked down at her, the same way she had once looked down at me.
