It was quite a surprise that he was talking to me, a nerd, instead of the group of girls on the other side who were glaring at me. I tried to strike a high voice and an arrogant face, but I'm sure anyone could look through that façade. I just don't want to be the weak, bullied girl if that is what's going to happen.

I hear a small voice from behind me. I turn just in time to see little Arnold Peterman running down the hall right behind me. Arnold is one of my students, well, former students after today, and is known as the class nerd. I hated the way he was bullied and spoke to his parents often about it, but they aren't necessarily the kind of folks that stop everything and help their children out.

His thin body made him look like he was carrying a baseball bat. As if he doesn’t know they’re letting the nerd’s play just to make fun of them. Because if he plays, the piñata will be broken in less than ten seconds. He hissed. The nerd hit his knee instead of the piñata above him. “Gosh, it seems like you didn’t want to hit the piñata when we were kids. You’re still very good at hitting. Oh right your pounding something else now.” He glared at him.

But deep inside, he felt too weak to go against his bullies. And then, one day, our Gracie, the most confident girl, like really confident. Sprinkled with some sass of being the Cali girl, decided to stand up for her childhood buddy. Sixteen years old. Niall remembers it, like it was yesterday, how some arrogant seniors were commenting on the way he looked when one of the guys said, "God! You're so ugly, dude." "Well, your girlfriend doesn't think so." Said a stern female voice from Niall's behind.

The pointed stares and the obvious fake smiles were driving me insane. “Hope you’re happy now, slut,” someone hissed under their breath as I passed. I kept walking. Head high, heart steady. I had survived worse and yes, I was happy. Bullies deserve no mercy. This morning was no different, only the snickering got louder. I wanted to crawl into a box and hide but that would only prove that they had successfully gotten away with their cruel acts. I walked into my office, my heart racing as I locked the door behind me.

I felt a sudden wave of relief wash over me. He would stop all this and I’d be safe for now. I looked at him, pleading with my eyes. This was clear bullying—there was no way he would ignore it. “I think I forgot something in the teachers’ room. I’ll be back, class. Try to keep decorum,” he said to my dismay, then walked out. Kade and Cassian immediately turned toward me. Kade gave me a knowing look, as if telling me: “there’s no one willing to save me,”

Laura lunged at me, slapping me across the face. Pain flared through me. Slap after slap rained down on me. She landed a dozen blows. Blood filled my mouth, and my ears rang. Blood trickled from the corner of my mouth onto my collar while I pulled myself free. I pulled out my phone and dialed Aldo's number again.

They went straight to the line and they suddenly pushed a nerd an fell down together with her orders. "You're blocking my way nerd" Maxinne said. I looked at the nerd. I feel sorry for her, she doesn't deserve her this she's always bullied by these clowns. Why do I call them clowns? Because of their make up. I stood up and approached the nerd. I took my handkerchief and gave it to her and helped her stand up. "You okay? I asked. "Y-yeah I'm okay. T-thank you" She said then use my handkerchief to clean herself.
