Cora fumbled to bring herself to a seated position, pulling her knees to her chest, like she was shielding herself. A wave of guilt flooded through me, as I began to wonder if I had overstepped the mark in doing the things that we had done. Cora had wanted them, I was sure of it. Yet now, she seemed to be so unsure. She looked to be regretting them, and that filled me with dread...
