UNBROKEN : THE ROGUE LUNA
The crimson rim had thickened, bleeding a sickly red light across the wasteland.
Twelve days.
A shadow fell over me, blocking the red glare. Caleb sat down on the stone, close enough that his thigh brushed mine. He unclasped his heavy, fur-lined cloak and draped it gently over my shoulders. The fabric was still warm from his body, carrying the deep, grounding scent of winter pine and woodsmoke.
"You are shivering," he said quietly.
"It's the cold," I lied.
Caleb turned his head. His silver eyes caught the ambient light, seeing right through the armor I tried to wear. "It is the weight," he corrected gently.
