The Alpha’s Mysterious Luna

The Alpha’s Mysterious Luna

She lays on her stomach with her feet up, crossed at the ankles. “Tell me how you heard Jagger’s conversation and then I will.” I try to call her bluff. Callie is very calculating. I’ll be shocked if she shows her cards before she knows what mine are. She simply shrugs. “The truth is my mom doesn’t just arrange housing for visitors. She arranges single she wolves to spy on visitors. Kinda like a madam.” My jaw drops. Not only do I find it hard to believe that Callie told me so easily, but her mom, one of the sweetest people I’ve ever met, is a madam?

Call of Night

Call of Night

She goes to the podium and is given the black candle, being sworn in to tell the truth. “Please explain the nature of your relationship with Callista Martin,” Albert orders. “I’ve known Callista—or Callie, as we call her—since her first year here at the Academy.” “Would you consider the two of you friends?” “Quite the opposite, actually. Callie and I had our fair share of differences throughout the years.” She’s looking at the council next to me. “During our years at the Academy, Callie was quite the troublemaker, as she continues to be today.”

The Secret Billionaire in Aisle 9

The Secret Billionaire in Aisle 9

Not as CEO Elijah Dane Whitaker, but as Eli—the guy in the navy polo who stocked shelves, wiped down registers, and handed out those slightly-too-sweet vending machine hot chocolates like they were gold. He stepped behind the counter to help Naomi with the POS system reboot, then took a quick inventory check before heading out to the floor. And when he looked up, there she was. Callie. Wearing her deep forest green blazer—the one she always claimed made her feel “authoritative but not scary”—with her badge clipped at an angle, a clipboard tucked under her arm. Her hair was pinned back today, save for a soft curl brushing her jaw. She was talking to Marcus near

Call Me Daddy

Call Me Daddy

"I won't." I walk out after requesting lasagna with mashed potatoes and baked chicken for dinner. Making my way out onto the porch, my phone starts ringing, startling me in the process. The caller ID shows Dave calling, one of Malias' friends. "Taylor here," I answered, picking up. "Where are you, chicka?"

Lissy: Besides, he's not into medical field. I suddenly reminisce our first encounter. We already met in the veterinary clinic. He even gave me a piece of paper that contains the list of vitamins and supplements Callie needed. Does it mean that he lied to me? Should I call him on his first name instead? To Dr. Alvidarez: This is Elspeth Amorelle Keene, the owner of Callie if you still remember. Proceed here at Grind House. I’ll wait for you.

Love That Came Too Late

Love That Came Too Late

I didn't answer. Then, the day they returned, I got a call from another unknown number. "Diana," Caryn said, her tone giddy, "Callum proposed to me." We'd only spoken three times before, and I'd barely said a word each time. Now, I gave her a single response. "Alright." Then she sent me a photo—her hand with a ring on it. I swallowed the bitterness rising in my chest and replied, "Congratulations." Then I ended the call and drove to the airport.

Running from My Billionaire Baby Daddy

Running from My Billionaire Baby Daddy

I felt a little dread creep through me as my eyes hovered over the heading. I flipped to the tab marked RIVERA, CALLIE — INTERNAL STRATEGY NOTES. The photo at the top was a basic headshot—probably pulled from the bakery’s official website or a business license. She looked the same. Curly brown hair pulled back into a ponytail and that soft smile she usually reserved for pets and babies. Her name read CALLIE RIVERA (FKA CALLIE EVANS). Beneath this, a few lines were underlined in red: Current Residence: 742 East Willow Drive

“For now. I bet you $100 that he is back to being stand offish tomorrow.” “Deal.” Callie held out her hand for me to shake. “And you cannot tell him or influence him in any way. Every single book I read from Mrs. Smith is AMAZING! Secrets of the Luna is no exception. Her writing makes the story fly by too fast! What I LOVE is you become part of the story, and to me, that's a sign she's a great author.

Love the book although the plot is just a repetition of Tattooed Luna with a few differences. Same storylines… FL with complicated childhood being hunted down by villain with Mafia ties and overprotective brother is also in the mix. Just too similar in my view. But enjoyable nonetheless.

Moonlight Warriors (English)

Moonlight Warriors (English)

They ordered more food and chatted more. "Calista..." Callie stopped eating and looked around when she heard someone call her name. "Why?" Clyde inquired, noticing that she appeared to be looking for something. "I think I heard someone calling my name," she sharpened her hearing, but all she could hear were people happily chattering and musicians playing instruments. "I didn't hear anything," Clyde said, looking around. Callie smiled and continued eating. "Perhaps I'm just hallucinating_." "Callie, there's a bus!" exclaimed Clyde as he noticed an approaching bus. He drew C
