But you needed it.” I clenched my teeth, refusing to let him get to me. “What was that thing?” I demanded, motioning toward the lifeless body. The black smoke was starting to fade, leaving behind nothing but an empty shell that barely looked human anymore. “A shadow being,” Luciano said casually, wiping his sword on his sleeve. “They take the form of the dead and use their memories to deceive you.”

Camilla nodded with a smirk, clearly pleased, before she departed. "What lycanthrope horde?" Hudson asked, regarding me with suspicion. "Oh," I chuckled. "That's my own special army. It consists of strong werewolves—males and females—who are under a spell to carry out my commands." I smiled brightly. Hudson fell silent and then went after Camilla.
