he called as they climbed onto the bus. The girls waved through the windows until the diner faded from view. …… Camp Ravenpine – Deep in the Woods of Cold Valley town,.. Later that afternoon, Kevin's car pulled up near the rustic wooden cabins nestled between thick pine trees. Teenagers milled about the clearing, stretching and hauling duffel bags from buses. “Welcome to Camp Ravenpine of Cold Valley!” a cheerful counselor called out. “Your phones will stay locked away until the final day after the two weeks end! Get ready for teamwork, survival skills, and zero cell signal!”

After Taps, power is cut and everybody mostly just conks out for the night. Each period, campers go do a different activity, like canoeing, archery, rock climbing, tennis, pottery, swimming. You know, camp stuff. Each week, the worms choose six new activities. We counselors are assigned a single activity for the entire session, usually with one other counselor, depending on the number of campers that can participate at a time. You get a different assignment each session. A few are specialized, and you only get assigned if you have outside training, like horseback. Most activities just require a willing mind and hands to run.

He asked as I rotated my hand to ease the mild pain that resulted from punching him. “You ate my cookies!” I hissed at him and he stuck out his tongue. Letti just sighed and went back to her drink. “Attention everyone!” The principal's voice boomed over the speakers. We all turned to face the podium. “We are here to welcome our distinguished guests from the Silver fang pack, Blood moon pack and Moon Claw pack. The Nightfang pack is delighted to have you around for the month long Summer camp. Though we come from different places we are still born of the same goddess and look forward to fostering healthy relationships.

“You’re just… dropping them off in the woods with strangers?” She narrowed her eyes at me. “They’re trained professionals. You’re sounding paranoid.” “I’m sounding reasonable,” I muttered. “What if something happens? What if–?” “Nathan,” she interrupted with a laugh, “they’ll be fine. It’s a well-organized camp. They’ve got contact numbers, a nurse on site, even allergy-friendly snacks. You don’t have to go full Alpha-Wolf-Dad on me.” She whispered the last bit. I opened my mouth to say something else but stopped.

But boredom has finally won out over whatever deeply-rooted awkwardness I have about him, and now’s the time. The camp itself is actually in a brilliant location—deep near the edge of the Winterfall border, close to Canada. Canadian packs have remained neutral, so if things go south, we can make a quick escape. And aside from the brutal cold, the camp is surprisingly well-equipped. There’s a lake nearby, perfect for hunting, fishing, and bathing. Caroline keeps calling this a vacation, which only proves that she is unwell.

RING. His phone suddenly vibrated. “What?” he snapped. [“Ohhh—chill”] his friend laughed from the other end. [“Your temper’s flaring again.”] “What do you want?” Loud music and voices echoed through the phone. He was at the club again. Of course. [“Come over to the Eclipse Club. Boss Lee brought in a lot of new pretty girls tonight.”] Matthew exhaled sharply. A full week trapped inside the mansion. A week of confinement and frustration “Fine.”

The days passed quickly, and the long-awaited school camping trip finally arrived. The students were brimming with excitement, preparing for their adventure in the woods. At school, everyone gathered to board the bus that would take them to the campsite, their backpacks stuffed with supplies and smiles anticipating the thrills ahead. Amidst the crowd, Alex watched Scarlett, attentive to her every move. He knew he couldn't let anything happen to her; something deep inside compelled him to stay close, especially during this excursion.

He picked up his backpack and then went to the camp. He saw that everyone except Arya was sitting around a fire-pit over which they were roasting a freshly caught rabbit. On a table nearby, there was a jug of water, some paper plates, buns and marshmallows. A chest was lying close to it, which had ice and bottles of beer and water. Tinny music from someone’s phone was hurting the otherwise balmy silence of the forest. Over the crackles from the fire, he heard men chattering and relating their experiences about the competition. Ryder walked up to them and asked, “How is the pup?”

'It only proves you need more work on your team work and hence you'd all be sent to Camp Team Trust,' Gwen replied. 'What's that?' Suzanne asked. 'Camp Team Trust also known as CTT is a hero league organization founded for Squads who have difficulty in getting along and hence helps them to unite. They undergo rigorous training and the worst part is if your squad shows no sign of improvement you could stay there--' Andrew slammed his book shut for a dramatic tension. 'Permanently!' he finished. 'And you'd know all these if you've been studying,' he added a bit smugly.
