I paused for a while and after it, I proceed to the revising stage so I can submit it to the publishing houses. I passed it to the publishing houses that I know but I only received feedback from one and its rejection feedback. I asked for the evaluation but they didn’t respond anymore. One time when I am scrolling on my Facebook account, I saw a new digital book platform where you can apply your story for a contract with good compensation. I tried to apply without any expectations. Days after, their editor contacted me and gave me the contract. An exclusive one.

While for awhile writing was my job, while I was a ''stay at home'' mum, the pay has dropped so low (Was 4 figures nearly every month, now it's barely $200, which I then have to take currency conversion into account, which means realistically, Is about £150ish) it's just not financially worth me staying home to put all my time and effort into it when I now have a proper job.
