Sawyer hugs Carmen with so much joy on her face. Carmen laughs. “I just bought the dakimakura. Jen bought you the manga.” Sawyer looks at me, then down at her feet demurely. I frown because this is not how Sawyer normally reacts. The past few years, she has been different around my friends and me. I don’t know why; we are the same boys she has known for the past five years.

“Sorry, but Sora just told us the funniest story about—” She stopped, glanced back and forth between Lian and Sora, then looked back at me, grinning wider than ever. Sora’s warm brown eyes met mine and squinted just a little. “I just told her about the time I was dating my stable boy and the fourth prince from Elarin at the same time.” My eyes fluttered as I shared a look with Trinity, who was now chuckling. “Interesting,” I said, amused. “You will have to tell me more about it.”

It was now I could see his resemblance to Ren and boy was Sora just what every man and woman would want in a partner. He could cook, clean, he listened more, he helped out, he was great with kids, independent, charmingly stubborn, beautiful and best of all... He was himself. No lies to his qualities. He asked a lot of questions and most times spoke in Japanese when he was nervous, shy or angry and that was what made me love him more. Nothing about him reminded me of Hana except possibly their red hair and brown eyes. We got to a cafe popular with the folks for its coffee art but Sora was more of a tea person than coffee.
