"Um, he's-" Again, Caroline cut me off. Her sly smirk deepened, "You went and got yourself a boyfriend while I was gone? Jeez, Arabella! He's massive." Caroline lowered her voice as she whispered to me, completely forgetting that Lycan's have super sensitive hearing.

While she was looking for answers to her questions, something caught her eye. "A black cape? Long-sleeved white shirt? And a red bow?” Cyrille's eyes begin to widen. "This is how a vampire dresses in classic Dracula films!" she exclaimed. “Oh my—” She couldn't finish her words and immediately covered her mouth to keep from shouting. She was overjoyed with the mixed emotions she was experiencing at the time, and she couldn't believe that after days of fruitless hunting, she'd have the good fortune to meet a vampire.

I’ve read Dracula; huge fan of The Lost Boys; big into Buffy the Vampire Slayer – but those were all pop-culture references, and so far, none of that seemed true: Xander didn’t wear a cape, he hadn’t turned into a bat that I’d seen, and his face didn’t get all bumpy when he bit someone.
