Cassandra I stared at Brutus from the corner of my eyes, he was dumbfounded. His eyes stayed on Carter as if he was trying to discover something. I hoped he wouldn't find Carter's identity. "Mommy? Is he your son?" He asked, his fists were clenched. There was a mix of surprise and anger on his face. I nodded, holding Carter who hid his face in my gown. CARTER I walked back to class with my head to the floor. I still had half a day to face this cruel world before I went home.
