The Ice Wolf
A cloud of dried leaves, moss and pine needles mixed in with grey dirt covered her white coat when Eira stopped dead in her tracks—leaving the lucky hare to swiftly bounced off into the shield of the dark.
"What did you do that for?" She snapped with a low grumble.
"I had to; you weren't listening to me." Nueva sneered. "Repeat after me; we do not eat bunny rabbits."
"You might not, but I do", Eira growled.
"No, we don't," Nueva stated in a low steady voice that showed this discussion was over.
Eira shook the dust out of the fur and put her nose to the wind, but instead of smelling the scent of fear from the hare, she smelled fresh rain and animal hair.
