When she was sure that the twins were no longer outside of her room, she immediately confronted Cristen who was at the moment fiddling with her long nails. "You're really crazy," she exclaimed while frowning. "You better stop thinking too much about Uncle Anton, Cass because he is surely busy flirting with his new girlfriend. Ouchy!" Cristen grinned and said while busy scratching her nails. Cassandra furrowed her brows because of what Cristen said. Her cousin had known for a long time that she likes Anton. Jo continued forward as they all shouted for her aunt, but then, the sound of hurried footsteps in front of them had them all readying their weapons. A blur came flying at them, running right past them at first. Jo and the others held their fire as they turned to see Cassidy coming to a halt behind them. Sweat was pouring off of her forehead, and her clothing was a little singed. “Cass?” Jo screamed. “Are you all right?” Cassidy seemed to be out of breath, which was unusual for a LIGHTS team member. She took a moment, breathing deeply, and wiped the sweat from her forehead. “I’m okay,” she said. “Did you say that you found your mom?”

“Selena.” He smiled again. “Pretty name.” And then “Selena!” Cassie’s voice cut through everything like a sharp knife. She appeared out of nowhere, moving fast, a flash of red silk and too much perfume. “There you are,” she said sweetly, wrapping her hand around my arm. Her tone was calm, but I could feel the pressure in her grip. Then she turned her full charm on Damien. “Damien Roth,” she said like she already knew him. “I’ve been dying to meet you.”

By then, Zayn's mind would be emptied of Cadence and filled only with her. When she heard Zayn's voice, she immediately looked up in delight. "Zayn!" She tossed aside the jewelry and ran toward him, wanting to nestle into his arms and soothe him with her tenderness. But Zayn gave her a piercing gaze and asked sternly, "Today was Cadence's funeral. As her sister, why didn't you attend?" His cold voice carried the threat of an oncoming storm. Cassidy flinched, biting her lip. "Zayn, I'm being harassed online… I was afraid I'd be attacked if I stepped outside. You don't know how crazy those people are. If they catch me, they might beat me to death…"

All I could hear was the thunder of my heartbeat, pounding in my ears like a war drum. No. No, no, no. This couldn't be happening. Victor clapped a hand on Dante's shoulder, oblivious to the storm brewing. "Cassidy, this is Dante Ashford. My son. Your soon-to-be stepbrother." He beamed, like he'd just unveiled a priceless artifact. "Dante, meet Vanessa's daughter, Cassidy. She's a spitfire, just like her mother."

Cassidy concluded her rant, her hands on her hips. “Soo…. the little firecracker is on our side now?” Elijah asked with a chuckle. “Apparently. Our girl works magic that much we know.” I shrugged. “Who the hell do you think you are!?” Jane finally came to her senses, getting up and dusting off her skirt. “I know who I am. I am Cassidy London Summers. I am the daughter of Hope and Emily Summers. I am the best friend of Riko Shiraishi. And I am the girl that will kick your ass if you mess with my friend or what is hers again.” Cassidy snorted.
