The sky above the city shimmered faintly. Not visible to human eyes. But to us— Ripples. Subtle. Like heat rising from stone. We descended carefully. One by one. Landing inside the courtyard of the caslte. The women dismounted shakily but safely. Vael exhaled hard beside me. “You felt that the whole way,” he muttered. “Yes.” Asher folded his wings slowly. “That wasn’t weather.” No. It wasn’t. I looked back at the gray sky. It didn’t feel like we had flown through open air.

"I'm sure it isn't. Let's take these down to the dungeon." Skye seemed to relax, and I wondered if they were mates. "Yes, Liege." She followed him past the landing strip into the castle. There wasn't a door, just a large, gaping hole, like the dark mouth of a toothless monster. I realized then that I hadn't seen a single bird, nor had I heard any of their calls.

I looked around for Sith and could not find him. I wondered where he was and hoped that he would not get busted too. The world outside was as quiet as it normally was. We had already left the main gates of the castle courtyard when another explosion occurred. It sounded as if it had come from the sky. We all looked up to see that an illusion of a happy and bright sky was falling apart. What it revealed instead was a sky filled with weird and creepy dark flying creatures, almost like the demons from before.

Henry stared with fascination at the crystal castle and its unique architecture, it was large, and built directly on the forest lands without any grooves nor water streams surrounding it, it towers almost scraping the sky, the walls made of the finest crystal emerging directly from the ground without the stony base, shining with their own light, there were no signs of a gate or any windows on the castle, making it appear like a giant flawless diamond with perfect cuts, and for a second, he couldn’t believe he just gave an order to rain it down with fire and ice spears, not until they started colliding with the flawless walls.

I nodded understandingly, as Edwin smiled at me. "You will love the Castle Abigail," he cheered, "i know it looks gloomy and all sad but inside its actually a wonder," Edwin began, drowing down the last of his milk. He smacked his lips, seeming to love the after taste. Tar dismissed me, allowing me to head back to my room. I paced around for a few seconds. This was it. The opportunity I was awaiting. I would be able to finally end the little prince life, he must be the golden dragon.
