Only a demon would release Xander, who had caused terror to all the werewolf packs," Kyle whined, holding Greg's hand softly with a baby look. I moved my gaze to her and my heart was torn even more. I was breathing heavily as the urge to shift began to grow in me. "There is no need to shift into your weak wolf, I'll kill you with a single blow." I heard Dracula's voice with my sudden power to read his mind.

He took me to the library where Gabriel was reading an old tome from his vault in the Tombs, a library labyrinth hidden beneath a castle in Romania. Gabriel moved in his seat, shuffling back slightly as Xavier placed me in his lap and kissed the top of my head. "I have to get to work," he said, a hint of sadness in his voice. I reached up, leaning my head back to kiss his lips. "I'll be okay. Thank you for my wake up call." He smirked against my lips, giving a huffed chuckle against me. "Anytime, Tiny." He kissed me again and left reluctantly, his hand trailing through my hair as I smiled and hummed at his touch.

She groaned and felt herself let go. "Good girl! Such a good girl!" he whispered, pulling his cock out from her and continuing to jerk it off into his hand. Cara let the tie drop from her mouth, and she sat up, chest heaving. "Do you want one more reward, angel?" Xavier asked, smiling gently. Cara nodded wordlessly, and Xavier beckoned to her. She slid forward off the table and stood in front of Xavier. "Kneel for me darling. And let me see that pretty tongue."

Rosalyn spoke in such a calm tone, repeating her words, balancing herself despite the shaking ground. Elias stepped in front of me instinctively. Xavier’s wolf exploded forward, gold bleeding into his irises, dominance slamming into the floor so violently even Elias staggered. “Valerie,” he gritted out, voice low, feral, lethal. “Behind me. Now.” But I couldn’t move. Because her power, Lisa’s power, rolled through me like ice water and wildfire intertwined, crawling up my spine, into my lungs, into the marrow of my bones.

The first pages spoke of layered commands, of weaving intent so precisely that the dead obeyed without resistance, of turning even the strongest-willed undead into extensions of the caster’s will. Raven’s breath caught. She looked up at Victoria. Victoria read the title over her shoulder, then met Raven’s gaze. She squeezed Raven’s hand once—firm, reassuring—and nodded.

I didn't know what he was thinking, and if I could read midns like he could, then I guess he wouldn't have had anything to keep to himself. Wolves couldn't read minds. We only went with our instincts, and our nostrils that could go lengths, while vampires could do their stuff, and even read minds. That was what Xander could do, he usually read the minds of people, those girls that loved to he around him, and just took their heats and read them. Though he wasn't able to do that to me most of the time, I knew that I couldn't have done it either. Why the hell was he suddenly gloomy, and why was he looking that way?
